You can pitch a complete game and lose in 8 innings if you are the away team. Also a conquest game could go 8 innings if tied, but your pitcher would be toast. Did I miss the error?

Some events are 9 innings, and I think if the events/ BR games go into extras it counts. I agree though, it seems dumb but it’s possible lol
