Most veteran players of this game are going to start you off with curve/change low out of the zone and fastballs high out of the zone to see how much you chase.

With quick counts in the new event, frequently you’ll be in three ball counts. This may be the time you think “they gotta throw a strike now” but in fact this is when you should be even more selective.

When you manage to get guys on base you’re even more likely to see [censored] pitches low out of the zone, they want you to roll one over into a double play.

In short yes it’s boring to take take take but eventually they will either throw you strikes, or quit and get quicker wins from easier opponents.

Obligatory Disclaimer: I’ve never even reached WS and am no expert at the game. I don’t know it all but just wanted to offer plate discipline advice.
