Lee Smith is an endgame RP, not sure why you think this is trash.
They want 99s now. Any content drop if it's not Griffey, Mantle, and Randy Johnson it's an Automatic L. I promise you they will release 94 overall Brian Roberts in august and these same dudes will be back just to say "why didn't you guys release this card within the first month".
Right?! lol

For the average DD player these cards are great. The only one that will personally be of any use for me is Smith, but I have better options at the other positions. Many people don't play DD around the clock and these cards will stick in their lineup and give them a good boost.

Don Mattingly card last year was good, Great defense and good bat. but I have so many options that are better at 1B, You can never have to many bullpen arms. Jason Bay being the new addition is tempting to try out.

I think its more so that its so easy to already have stacked teams and these cards arent necessarily automatic upgrades for people

I feel like last year started the same way. It's not the stats or overall that deter me, it's the star power. Unless you get lucky and are a big fan of a boss, they're all just kinda ehh. I like Kenny Lofton so the first inning kept me interested. This one, not so much.

This is where we see the divide between casual and competitive players. Competitive guys see positions, attributes, pitch repertoires, diamond fielding, etc. Casual guys like me see "Jason Bay," "Lee Smith," and "Don Mattingly."

Are there a plethora of 95 OVR cards out there that I'm not aware of?

No it's not. Is exactly what I described above they just won't admit that. It's always easy to have a stacked team if you are doing it right. This kind of stuff has been said for every content drop for years. If it's not exactly which card they are looking for it's an L

Personally, I just sell the boss I choose anyway and use the stubs towards the live series collection. I think overall the rewards for this program are fine and I look forward to starting it like I always do with the conquest map tonight.

Same. I do wish showdown would release at the same time, as I enjoy grinding that too, but conquest it is!

Yeah showdown is fun too! I'm hoping they will add it next week like they did for the last program

I can only speak for myself but I was disappointed with the cards just bc none of them are all that useful to me. maybe smith but ive never been a fan of the card and franco, chapman, Eckersley and kerry wood lock my pen down

I dont really measure cards based off of overall rating bc some of the individual stats that arent as important can inflate cards value like discipline and clutch. The bay card looks decent but theres just too many good outfielders out there that play similarly. For instance I will stick with my paralleled dom Smith over the Bay card

Us Mets fans see Jason Bay and run!

Wow Honestly i was expecting more from the second inning program
But if they were all 99s everyone would lose their minds and complain about it saying it’s too early to be playing against high end cards.
