First of all, the new forum looks WEIRD.
    Content
MLB The Show 19 had, in my opinion, the best content distribution that we have seen in DD. Lineup variety was achieved (in players, not player card type, which is an issue of mine that I don’t really feel like discussing right now). Events were usually really fun. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I loved Moments. I thought they were WAY more fun than absent mindedly grinding v CPU. Making Moments a little more user friendly and I think we have a [censored] good content distribution system in place.
    Gameplay
First off, MOST of the new defensive animations greatly improved the game. Mainly the ones in the infield. There were some questionable buggy looking animations that would sometimes screw you. Now to talk about Hitting and user input. Pretty simple, pre 1.13 it was awesome. I don’t care if we had slugfests. The user was rewarded for good PCI placement and timing. Post 1.13 was a roll of the dice. Didn’t take me more than 2 weeks of 1.13 to abandon the game. That usually doesn’t happen for me until like December.
    This year can be different
MLB 19 The Show had to be an Overhaul from ‘18. 18 was a one dimensional game on the field, and no one likes grinding countless hours for everyone to have the same team. I think 2020 could be a ton of fun if SDS expands on what were absolute wins for this community. Already can’t wait to get back into the action.

The content was fantastic this year. Definitely saw more diverse lineups, although some cards I felt were too hard to obtain. Moments were a mixed bag for me. I liked that it wasn't just straight up grinding, but because the gameplay was so broken, some moments just because a worse grind than mindless playing the CPU from last year. To sit and play the same inning, game, at bat, or whatever over and over was mind numbing at some time. It's one thing if the moment is hard, but it's something entirely different if you're hitting missiles right on the screws right at guys over and over and over. Fix gameplay, and moments will be better.
Gameplay, again the biggest downfall to the game this past year. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The PCI just dones't work. Get rid of it. Man the batting reticle bat shaped and make the ball react off the bat like in a way that is consistent with real life physics. No more of this, "Perfecting timing, right in the middle of the PCI = a fly out to the warning track" or "A poorly struck ball on the fringe of the PCI wil bad timing = bloop hit over the 1B on a high inside 100+ MPH fastball" [censored].
One thing I noticed today was how when a guy rounds second, for example, to go back to first when a fielder catches a ball he stutters around second as if he forgot that he was going back to first to avoid a double play. Things like this need to go and the players actually need to have some sort of baseball IQ.
