Please add back button to Lineup screen

Okay so with last weeks patch not fixing loadout progress we still have to finesse the system to change loadouts and get them to track progress.
Right now for me if I change loadout in the clubhouse before clicking the "Play next appearance", I get my progress.
I keep an eye on the calendar so I know when I'm going to be starting pitcher but some times the game decides to rest you so when you click "Play next appearance" it brings you to the day that you're starting pitcher and you have your "Hitter" loadout active. At the lineup screen you have three options "Play Game", "Sim to next appearance" and "Sim this Appearance". If you click play game it prompts you to select your loadout, the problem here as we all know is selecting your loadout from here will not track progress. So you select your loadout and enter the game with the plan of quitting out, selecting the correct loadout from the club house prior to hitting play next appearance.
Here you encounter the next problem, the in game menu doesn't have a "quit" option. It has a sim and quit so therefore if you want to play as pitcher and track progress you have to "Close the application/ Dashboard" and then load it back up.
Apologies for the long post but I've finally gotten to the point. All of the above can be avoided if the lineup screen has a simple "O Back/ B Back" option so that you can go back into the clubhouse and select the correct loadout. There is one on the screen after the lineup one where you select your loadout but that's too late.
Ok, rant over

If it does that I just sim it and then quit the game and then go back in and change my load out because I already know they are going to skip me a game

But if you click "Simulate and Exit" from the in game pause menu then it will sim the game and move onto the next day. This means you've missed your day as a starting pitcher.
The only way to replay the day is to "Close the application/ Dashboard" because we don't have control over the manual saves so we can't just load up a previous save and select the correct loadout, right?

I always make a backup save

I didn't know that was possible, thanks for that. I'll try that today

@glencurran_PSN To your original post, I fully agree. Once you hit "play next" from the main locker room screen, there's no going back. And it's not until you have already hit "play next" that you see what your role is going to be in the next game. I'm not a 2-way player but I imagine this would drive you absolutely nuts.
An alternative method which may help you, and may not be as cumbersome as keeping multiple saves, use the Calendar instead of the "Play Now" view. If you are when pitching a SP (not sure how you would be a RP and a two-way player actually) then the game should show you if you are starting or not. If you are not, have your batting/fielding archetype (whatever that may be) active. If you are slated to be the SP for the game, you can go back from calendar and activate your SP archetype. It's still a bit of a pain in the backside, but seems to me easier than juggling saves.
Hope this helps.

@Moosealbany_PSN Thanks for the the tips but unfortunately using the calendar doesn't work all the time, as quite a few times the CPU has rested my player the day before I'm due to pitch. This means that I have my hitter loadout active and then I click play next appearance it sims the day before I'm due to pitch and goes straight to the team lineup screen for the the game I'm starting pitcher.
This means I've my hitter loadout selected and can't go back to the club house to select my pitcher loadout without going into the game and quitting out.
Hopefully they apply a patch that works this time and you are able to select your loadout post lineup screen and they actually progress properly.

I would just like be able to save and quit from a game.

Right - what you need to do in that case, imo (just been dorking around with this a bit myself to see how it works actually) - is after every completed game, do not choose "play next" but instead leave to clubhouse, go back to calendar. Basically as a two-way player with current fubar system in place, you can never use the "play next" button and the convenience it offers. Either from the clubhouse or from the post-game summary of a completed game.
My understanding is that the AI manager will always rest you the day before you are supposed to start. At least that's what I understand is supposed to happen. Although seems like sometimes on days of rest I'm called in to PH. Ergo, what I would choose to do is simulate the day (in calendar view) before I'm supposed to pitch.
In any case, it's certainly an imperfect system right now. The bottom line is that we should be able to pick our loadout before each game, and the loadout should just work. But hey, trying to help where I can.

My RTTS player works without issues now. I have 4 separate loadouts and whichever one I choose can earn progression (doesn't matter if it's the active loadout or not).
