Game unplayable due to freezing

My game keeps freezing during playing a ranked season today. It happens for two games out of three already and had to leave those games. I am on Xbox series x. I didn't have this issue before. Does anybody experience the same thing today?

I’ve had it happen multiple times while playing the event today.

My son was playing with a friend in a friendly, and froze everything mid pitch. They were mic'd up FWIW. Both playing Xbox One S.
First this year for him, but he had to hard exit. His friend saw that he had lost connection and was given the W.

I am in a freeze off in an event game right now and when I click on my opponents profile from in-game it shows him playing vs someone else. Wtf is going on??

If the game has a time stamp after the start of your game vs him, just bail. You already have a L but don't know it yet.

Where would I see a time stamp?

In the game history on the profile I would think. If you look up his Show username, you should be able to view a game history.
I have not done this for an Xbox user so I can't provide step by step.

He lied. I got the win after he exited the game lol.

currently 24 hours into a freeze off, about to get my first world series ever. this is just ridiculous that the game has been around for so long and freeze offs still exist.
