Tbh I actually feel that I hit pitches on the edges of the zone better because I can just mash the pci to the edge and there's no risk of overcompensation. When I'm feeling good I force people to come into the zone but I actually miss quite a few pitches over the plate because of overcompensation

This is very true. This is also why back when pitching was more responsive CB5 was telling people to pitch in between the corners and the middle as you need a lot of control to hit those pitches.
