Even if they give us diamond packs, it still costs SDS nothing in real currency. Digital goods are just a made up commodity that they can produce an infinite amount of. And giving everyone these cards will just dilute the market place evenly for everyone, so nobody would really gain anything from it as a whole.
Exactly like what the Federal Reserve does on a daily basis...
And we will all wonder why a gallon of milk will suddenly cost over $100 after the fact.

I'm all for Xbox players getting a chance to play this game, but I have a feeling the fact this game is on Game Pass has deluged SDS servers beyond their limit. This game being on Game Pass must have hit them by surprise.
They knew it was coming and it was a push from MLB to make it happen. MLB is trying to grow their fan base anyway they can. They should’ve known to at least double if not triple their server capacity. I’ve owned 19, and 20 but moved over to Xbox for 21 because it’s on gamepass which I’ve had for years. It’s kind of a joke to be honest that this happened. I’m generally fairly forgiving about bugs because patches usually come out relatively quickly because beta testing would catch stupid [censored] and a pre release patch would be availed to fix that stuff.
They knew it was coming to Xbox, sure...but I have a feeling even SDS was caught by surprise about MLB (the Xbox publisher for the game) putting the game on Game Pass. The game pass announcement was only a couple of weeks ahead of the game release. Game Pass can easily account for the servers getting tripple the load compared to last year.

umm no, this is way beyond anything that has happened last 2 years
I can't recall it being even 1/10th as bad as this year's release was.

xbox guy here who bought the game and didn’t know it was on game pass a few days before...beyond disappointed. waste of $60 and my time trying to level up. love being disconnected from servers every millisecond.
Same here my friend. I pre-ordered the game in March having played the Show 10 on PS3 quite a few years ago.
Well lets just say I won’t do that again... They should not have had this game on Gamepass right away. It is a slap in the face to those who paid full price for the game.

I have a solution. Clearly SDS can't handle this many people on the servers at once, so let's split up our time. Everyone gets 30 minutes to play each week and we have to stagger it. It will be like the 1970's when people had to ration gas. I'll take Thursdays from 6:00-6:30pm. Sure, it will suck since we won't get much play time per week, but maybe we can actually accomplish missions and earn XP without getting kicked out of the [censored] game.

Don't give game studios this idea...I can foresee premium server access as a addon for sale in games coming our way.

Thats exactly what happened all the pre-orders with some inflation for new players and even assuming last years players who didn't pre-order was no where near what yhe percentage of18 million game pass users brought on. It didn't help they didn't know it was going to be on gamepass until maybe a few days to a week before launch. plus the issues as frustrating as they can be you still can't find a more realistic. sports game.
