Two questions For SDS
-
Neither of these are a real priority, but I just thought I'd throw these out there for when things die down:
-
If I turn off cross play, does that mean I only will play people on a PS4s? Like does that cut off access to Xbox players only or will I still be able to play people on all Playstation platforms?
-
Does SDS have any comment on the Cronus Zen? I'm curious as to what plans might be in case it becomes an issue, which everyone knows is probably going to happen.
Thanks

I’m not SDS, but I can guarantee you that Cronus Zen will be an issue eventually. It’s already become a thing on 2K. Not sure why people would want to cheat so much in sports games.

Bc they're losers. Its sad to need to win at a video game so much you would cheat.. Idk why anyone would want to cheat in any video game? Whats the point to play? Even if you get famous and sponsored or something you're gonna get exposed immediately.

While the cheaters are indeed the lowest of scum in gaming, the company that makes the device is worse. They claim that the Chronus Zen is made for gamers with disabilities when it was blatantly obvious whenever they pitched the idea that it would be used for cheating

I don't know anything about it but I'm sure if they didn't make it, somebody would have. The gaming industry as a whole needs to do more to combat cheat devices and programs. Like real, serious punishments for the makers and distribution of them... The industry has the $$ to make things happen in my opinion. Just a thought.

but gaming companies won't do that. Why you ask? because they still make $$ from cheaters. SDS still keeps the $ from anyone that bought the game, any stubs they purchased, and then if they are caught cheating get to ban them. Why stop the $ from coming in by curbing cheating ahead of time?

Imagine being one game away from World Series or 12-0 and have never done it before and you face someone that is using Chronus Zen and you lose. That can ruin someone's day.

Hopefully gaming companies will step up and at least try.

Question...in what way could it be used to help a player in the show?

They will never disclose very much when it comes to anti cheat measures, no developer does. All we will get on that front, is that they are aware and are putting or have measures in place to combat it.

The problem is they don’t sell to just people with disabilities. All we can hope for when it comes to these cheat manufacturers, is that they do what the company who made hacks for rainbow six siege did, and thats be dumb enough to allow for a news story to be done on them and the hacks they develop.

Same reasons people cheat at anything.

Yep, once Esports took off everyone wants to be the G.O.A.T of their game so they can get that views revenue and those twitch donations, problem is they don’t actually want to put the time in to be the best so they just cheat. I’d say about 75% of todays streamers either use a Cronuszen or some other form of hack. Pretty sad place the video game Industry is in.
