Hershiser is imo the best pitcher in show history, or one of... Simply because you can "pitch" with him.. he's deceptive, hard to pick up, and his pitches have tons of movement and work well together if you pitch him right. He's a must every year

Break trumps velo. even moreso when every pitcher opponents have throw 97+.
will adjust to the speed eventually but the break will confound every time. -

Starts 6 inches above zone and ends 6 inches below. Also is a nice speed change from a 92 MPH fast back to a 78 MPH screw, loads of swing and miss

Sure. That's one year.. CC every other year is pedestrian. Hershiser never disappoints. I think it was '17 where 99 Orel was unhittable too.
