Double Plays for Everybody
-
Doesn’t matter who I play, who is hitting for me, where the pitch is located, or how good my timing is, anytime I get a runner on first i ground into a double play. I seriously had 6 (SIX) freaking double plays turned on me against the Fernanado Valenzuela Showdown boss... on Veteran. I think when Mike Piazza, Jeff Bagwell, Yordan Alvarez, Max Muncy, and Jose Abreu square up pitches with good timing they hit liners or home runs. NOT ground balls right to infielders for easy double plays. The hit timing logic is so bad. Hitting .200 with perfect timing and .125 with good timing probably.

If you are below 8 runs, you can steal 1st and 2nd base and the cather won't throw the ball no matter who you are trying to the steal the bag with.
As for double plays, if you have runner on first the ai will always throw 2 pitches either below in the strike zone or outside strike zone. Usually just wait below the strike zone with your pci for a hit or take the first two pitches.

How many pitches was he at when you finished

Stealing 1st base would be pretty bad [censored]

I’m not sure the last time I did it, but the time before I hit into 3 or 4 double plays and I worked him to 90 pitches.

I'm pretty sure that only works in the TA Showdowns.
I tried in the 1st Inning Showdown and got picked off multiple times.

What was the score for when you got picked off in those games? Usually when the cpu team has more than 5 runs they just allow you to steal bags.

The amount of DPs certainly is eyebrow raising. It seems way too high to be random.

I went into the Showdown and went straight to the final boss. So I was down 15-0.

Hmmm. Screwball curveball changeup then with all that slow [censored] your timing is off on the fastball to make weak contact.
gotta sit back on him and take strikes till you get your pitch, hes incredibly nasty and can get you off balance very easily. -

I don't know. Fernando was well known for the ground ball. And as I have played, I haven't seen many pitches above the mid thigh.
