Well, that answers that question

So what happens then? A player who bought the game at launch will start off at the same place in inning 7 as a player who just bought game.
I dont like that seeing as tho rewards will be better in the later programs.
Let's say player A has played innings 1-6 and has 2 million xp.
Player B just started playing on inning 7.
500k xp season 7 reward is a 94 ovr player. Playrr B will get the same reward at 500k xp that player A is getting at 2.5 mil xp
-
I think it’s a mistake to remove the inning programs. Never should of made that call.

Same as last year...Everyone started off each inning program with 0 stars regardless if they played all innings or just starting off half way through the year.

From the Announcements Page of this site:
Be sure to complete the 1st Inning Program prior to May 7 because this year you only have a limited time to complete programs, and when they’re gone they’re gone!
*Wish they would've announced this BEFORE the game dropped. Would've changed my mind about buying it.
I kind of understand why they didn't, but still a cheap shot.
i didn't figure that xp would go toward the First Inning, but I thought I would still get credit for things like completing the 1st Inning conquest after it ended. More reason every day to just end this frustration that is MLBTS 21 and play something else.

Not the same as last year. Not even close. Last year they never went away, you just stopped gaining stars for that inning through normal game play. You could still go back and do the Showdown or whatever for 1st Inning credit.
-
While they were at this they also took away our opportunity to earn 5 99 diamonds by just playing the game. Their excuse was that the Innings would hold better rewards. I do not see better rewards at all. At least not that amount to 5 99 diamonds.

SDS, like everything else this year, has got it [censored] backwards again. There's no way I'm buying next years game if this is the direction they are going to keep going. Timed everything??
Some of us have families and things like a job. Pull your head out of your [censored], SDS. This is a joke.

How does one even get to the Announcements page? (New here)
[Update: found it]

I like this move.
The inning programs are battle passes plain and simple. Once a season ends that battle pass and it's rewards are gone and you work on the next one. This concept is not earth shattering.
It makes those cards valuable as well make them hold value so everyone under the sun is not buying all 3 to get the collection boost next program.
It's a good change, change is hard but you will get through it
-
And what happens if every-time you try to play the servers are down . How is that on us ??? Everyone knows servers are an issue at the start so why not extend the first few programs till that is sorted.
-
Guessing they did this so the boss cards wouldn’t crash in value..I hate it..I hate that they took 5 99s and 5 mid 90 diamonds away from us for playing the game..I hate that last year with moderately playing I could have a boss 2-3 days after the inning drops, whereas I’m still level 18 9 days later...the only thing they did right was making World Series and Br rewards attainable for the average joe..and even then, trying to put up 40 wins in a 2 week period while trying to keep up with content is hardly viable. Game was made for mutants to play 24/7, and if you can’t do that, but stubs

I have only been able to play a couple hours each night some less due to servers and I have 25 wins in the event, at 290k XP, 80% in AL East program and the 1st inn and East conquest maps done.
Focusing on one aspect per night, if I'm playing the event that's what I do I don't jump around. I set a goal of 5 wins, if I get there quick then I readjust based on how much time I have left to play.
Servers are an issue of course but reach 350k with what there is now and 1 more conquest and player program to come will make it Avery very attainable

the difference is they aren't letting the hard core grinders get an overpowered pitcher from the beginning of the cycle. The canha and eovaldi cards are similar to the gary sanchez and alex reyes last year. as the innings go on i can only assume those 99s will start showing up as well as the 96 rollie types

100% agree also cards have more staying power this year with Parallel as that 90 Adley at superfactor will be one of the best backstop in the game all year.
I love this year's set up so much more

This year is a an odd one for content, which is usually the one thing that SDS knocks out of park

We are 1 week in no way you can make a full assessment
-
No Xp reward path, no xp for collections, collections rewards aren’t new legends as expected, innings programs expire.
Not off to a strong start
-
If you just look at the RAW number of cards available via these program and TA paths, you're in for the largest, most diverse content ever.
Having a bunch of 99's drop day one created stale lineups where everyone was grinding for the same card.
What was my greatest and most enjoyable aspect of 20? Having Corey Kluber without an inning pitched last year, online and off.
Sure, there will always be a Meta people fall into. Seasons past, they smacked you in the face with it. This year, go find and build your own with parallel.

And I'm fine with all of that. There really is more than enough xp to max out the inning program. Last year it took me two weeks or more just to get the boss, and now I'll have him in a little over a week. Now whether that changes down the road, who knows.
Chipper as the main collect. A lot of people didn't have him, and there was a lot of complaining. This year's card looks even better, and is probably the end game 3B.
I like the fact that someone that waited to buy the game cheap, won't be able to go back and knock out inning programs for previous bosses. Want the boss; step up and buy the [censored] game.

There was no over powered pitcher among the 5 99's awarded for reaching a new level. I have no problem with them not giving away a 99 OP pitcher at the start, I have a problem with them deleting Innings programs when we cannot even play, and to top it off there is no longer term goal of obtaining 1 of the 5 at level 100. The best you could do last year was Reggie Jackson, not exactly a power pitcher for the hard core grinders. Also, if you have the Inning done after a week you ARE one of the power grinders or you used the glitch others have used to reach max XP in a week.
