Physical Copy PS5

Are there any of you that have successfully downloaded the ps4 to ps5 version using the physical disc from the game? I only ask because my game is being delivered today and it appears that the main issue is getting the PS5 version download, which has not happened for many users.

hello , I purchased the PS5 disc on Wednesday the 21st ... there were some problems which the show & playstation network acknowledged .. as usual for a new season startup ... but as of this afternoon no issues running fine ... just trying to figure out if XBOX can play PLAYSTATION on THE SHOW !!! I guess you go to the show 21 and link accounts ???

No, theres under a 5 percent chance that your actually worked out of the hundreds of people (including myself) that have gotten the free upgrade it has not been successfully whatsoever but maybe you can get a good chance cause ive seen one or two people have it successful

YES it worked already play 3 online games ... not sure what " free upgrade is " but bought the physical disc and I'm playing online RIGHT NOW

Thanks, I appreciate the responses. I'm debating on just buying the digital from the PS Store and returning the physical copy back to Target. I don't want to open it and not work.
