Anyone else uninterested in finishing live series collection or collecting 42 players?

I can’t believe Hank or Clemente aren’t the big LS rewards. I am completely uninterested in chipper, Ortiz, or Soriano. I guess that’s personal preference but I am in absolutely no rush, whereas the last two years I was willing to throw down a few fish to get Mays and Mantle. I’ll be NMS this year because of lack of interest, I guess.

I’m unable to do either until servers get worked out.
I literally got on just now to buy up a ton of cards on the market, but I can’t. Hard to make stubs when you can’t access the primary mode for making them.
Im pretty sure it’s scheduled maintenance, they are aware of the stability issues though, they finally communicated lol. After they acknowledged the problem it actually seemed to get a bit more stable so hopefully they are close to a fix.

Thats what im doing, I rushed for mantle last year but then lost interest, mostly because of the gameplay. I’ll work towards Soriano but thats about it.

I think no xp is playing a role as that was also part of the chase. Now I like that xp is not attached so the move to put the 3 they did for the rewards I think is smart.
Hank and Clemte I think will be rewarded this way
Hank Aaron will be the legends and flash back collection reward with a 700 home run club card
Clemente will be the all time team moments file reward

The big 3 are fine. Chipper will rake. Ortiz was a phenomenal hitter for me last year, just no defense. Soriano is very intriguing. The thing that turns me off about these sets is the rewards. Stub reward for completing each team is pathetic and the lack of xp for completing sets this year stinks. Also what the heck am I supposed to do with some of these low golds as the set rewards? Kiner, I'm looking at you. I've only been playing 3 days and many of those rewards aren't even bench bats. I'm going to attempt to go NMS also.

Legends and flash back collections those rewards card will be need to get the big reward who I think will be Hank Aaron as he was the live series reward

I want to finish them, but in absolutely no rush like in previous years. Rewards will be good cards, but not super exciting for me. Also, there isn't an XP reward path incentive to get them done either. It's going to be much easier for me to stay NMS this year lol

I worked so hard in 19 for Mays and 20 for Mantle but this Chipper? Meh... he didn’t make my end team last year whereas Mantle and Mays were mainstays all year.
I’ll finish it eventually but I’m in zero rush to get the LS done. Rewards apart from Soriano aren’t worth it IMO. Ortiz is nice but there’ll be over a dozen great options at 1B in no time
-
I ended up with mantle, awards griffey and mvp trout in the outfield, the speed on the bases and defense were critical in big game situations. I just don’t see chipper being a huge threat in the field and on the base paths

I hear what you're saying, but this year's Chipper is lightyears better than last year's Chipper. Add the +5 for parallel 5 to his attributes and he's undoubtedly one of the best hitters in the history in the game with gold fielding and 70+ speed. Not to mention the switch hitting, the great swing and the fact that he's able to play SS which is always a lacking position for great bats.

Just goes to show how we all hit differently with various cards. Mays was a great card for me, but he ended up on the bench, due to only wanting one rh in the outfield (and that was Trout, easily my best). Mantle I just couldn't get going, even though he got 7-800 abs.
Now I'm not saying that Chipper was the end-all-to-be-all, but when the dust finally cleared he was my starting 3B. Now I'm just going off memory here, but his card this year looks even better.

NL collection rewards are great. AL not so great. I’m a Braves fan, so ultimately I want Chipper, but I admit that it was an odd choice. I expected it to be Hank or Roberto. I would assume one of those will be the overall reward later in the year (like Honus and Trout were). Never know though. Sometimes it’s like they put names in a hat and go with the name they draw as the reward. Compared to 2K though, MLB is miles ahead better for rewards and collections.

This is my thoughts exactly. I will have it all finished in next few days(fingers crossed for the servers) but the team rewards and division rewards are pretty meh. Even the high ones, I don’t like pitching with tanana at all, feller is okay but I took him out for lower players too, I couldn’t hit a lick with the Ernie banks card, etc. Cant complain about the 99s though especially early in the year.
-
I'll probably get it done around the end of may/early June like normal. I didn't use 99 Chipper either of the last two years. I'm not rushing on the 42 collection though. I never Do well with Jackie
-
Have you guys actually hit with a 99 Chipper card? He’s a switch hitting Pujols that now has good defense at 3rd thanks to the upgrade system. Mays was the best card in 19. Mantle was the best card in 20. I think Chipper will be the best card this year.

Are you talking about the 99 Signature Series Chipper from last year? He was amazing for me and way better than Mantle who was off my team in August. Different strokes I guess but I’m one who prefer these 3 to last years as Ortiz rakes whereas Sheffield has a difficult swing IMO. Not sure about Soriano yet but I’ll have Papi today.
-
Agree with everything you said except the disrespect for Third Leg Craig LOL. He was on my bench the entire year. Top tier base stealer with catcher as a secondary? Yes please!

I like Jackie cards ok, but I have Soriano at 2B. Chipper will be at 3B. My outfield is stacked. I’m working towards Freddie Freeman’s superfractor at 1B and I’ll have Big Papi too. Jackie is a bench bat and pinch runner at best right now. I’ll slowly work through the Affinity programs just to keep up for later stages to come, but it’s not really about wanting the 99 Jackie. Don’t get me wrong though, I’ll take him. That’s the problem with completing the collections early on, it’s hard to get excited about other released cards until about halfway through the year when we start seeing 98 and 99 elite cards.

Yeah I pretty much had every card in the game last year. Had MVP trout, Mays and Mantle in OF, Seager, Tatis, Mookie and Babe in infield with Salvador at C

Jackie's always my endgame 2B, so he's the first thing I'm shooting for this year.
