Check swings IN the zone

So, I'm all for the changes in making check swings harder. I was one of the players that benefited greatly from that last year, but I'm OK with the changes to make it more difficult.

It could be me, but I'm check swinging WAY more this year with "perfect" timing with balls IN the strike zone. Anyone else notice this? I feel like I'm mashing the buttons. I'm on PS5 this year, in case that makes a difference.

Its happening to me too but im on xbox, Only way i dont is if i keep the button pressed if i hit it check, check, check lol

Hold the button until you make contact, thats how I do it and I never check basically.

I do however get eaten by low changes ups and sliders away.
