It did work for mine, but I didn't put equipment back on him. Or the bottom archetypes, just sparkplug but it finally moved up after days
glad it worked for you man
-
its been on and off for me all night. idk if there is something that triggers it or not
-
I tried with equipment back on didnt work. So I removed the equipment and it started working

even though it shouldn't be an issue anyways

Having no equipment on will cause it to work. With equipment on it will not. I cleared all my equipment and it actually registered. The equipment seems to only work for DD

interesting. mine just started working with equipment on. Maybe we're just chasing our tails here

mine has been working with equipment on. no clue what the trigger is then
maybe taking it off and putting it back on is a fix? -
I got it to work for 2 games so this mode is still broken. 5 days and counting
-
alright guys im trying everything and i think i figured it out. I think the issue is the screen in between games that asks you about your loadout. instead of playing a whole series i backed out after every game and every stat tracked with equipment. lmk if it works for you all

I would back out every game with equipment and it would track the stats

Same here
-
So just confirming from the last three posts, we need to back out to main menu after every game AFTER removing all equipment from the ballplayer for our stats to count?
-
thats whats currently working for me for whatever reason

I'm not sure, but I think we are trying to put lipstick on a pig here.
I just played about a week's worth of games - between each game I exited to the clubhouse (not all the way out to the main menu). Got program progress (PP) on two of them. On two of the games I was a pinch hitter, neither of those gave me PP (which raises the interesting question of does the design allow for you to get PP as a pinch hitter??). My guy is a SS. Before the first game I played, I modified my equipment and removed my catcher leggings. That game gave me PP. I exited to the clubhouse, changed nothing, and played the next game - I got no PP, and after that I exited to the clubhouse and took off all my gear. Got no PP. Put all my gear back on including catcher leggings and got PP. Played another game with no change, no PP.
A few notes: (1) I never backed out all the way to the main menu, just left the series early and went back to the clubhouse and then choose "play next"; (2) when you choose to go back to the clubhouse early in a series, you get a screen that lets you check your progress with the R1 button - that will accurately tell you if you got PP or not; (3) gear on or off either way did not change my OVR so frankly I'm not sure that the gear is even working in RTTS which would really stink if so and would be yet another issue for SDS to have to fix.
IMO, the bottom line is that Program Progress appears programmatically broken and that until SDS gets off their collective duffs and fixes it, it will be hit-and-miss. Which is tremendously disappointing to say the least.

Testing results for me:
When I was getting no stats, I had equipment and perks equipped.
1st try: took all equipment off, left the perks as they were. Played the entire series without coming back to the menu. Result: my stats COUNTED towards my sparkplug perk.
2nd try: put the equipment back on. left the perks as they were. Played the entire series without coming back to the menu. Result: No progress whatsoever
3rd try: left the equipment on, took the perks off and put them back on. Played the entire series without coming back to the menu: Results: my stats COUNTED towards my sparkplug perk. (Note, I do have catchers gear on and I’m a shortstop). It seems to me that if you take all perks off, and take all equipment off, then reapply them, the stats begin to progress. Try that, if not, try it in the order I tried. I never had to go back to the menus between games to get progress. I did notice that the between game loadout selection still doesn’t work.

Nope. I’ve been doing that for days and it isn’t working still.

I think this might just be a server side bug.

I've been playing with this a bit more. There does seem to be some correlation between swapping gear around on your "loadout" (what are we doing here, going into combat?) and coaxing Progression Points to potentially temporarily work. But it is absolutely hit and miss. Like I expressed previously - this feels like trying to put lipstick on a pig. Hopefully SDS will have some information forthcoming shortly as to when we can expect a patch.
