xp/stub progression

So apparently this year they made it so if you adjust the difficulty sliders in anyway, you’re locked out of earning progression and/or stubs. I may be in the minority, but I really don’t like this. What’s the logic behind doing this?
-
It was used for XP exploits last year. That and I think they want to make XP a strictly DD mechanic, even though it kind of was to begin with anyway
-
I see.
I don’t keep up with the community that much not am I a DD player so I was out of the loop.
It’s not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things but i find it to be annoying. -

They made clear like 28 times that you can get XP from playing literally anything. That was a talking point for them. If you're adjusting your sliders, you shouldn't really be worried about XP. Does it seem fair?

I see your point. But I’m not a DD player at all. I stick with Franchise or RTTS and mainly use the stubs for franchise budget.
Does seem a little unfair & unnecessary to those that don’t play DD but I guess that’s a small minority of players -
Yes the exploits were very common. Guys would play home run derby for hours and level up. they went too far the other way this year though
-
I understand that. Last year got exploited really bad. You can thank some of the Youtubers for putting out countless videos everytime a new inning dropped. Most people just play regular but it began a race to sell the inning bosses and everyone was doing it. It was rough for players who played normal and got the boss completwd in a few weeks.

People that adjust sliders either A. Are using to exploit XP or B.Are strict Franchise/RTTS players. Option B doesn't need XP. There is no account level or anything this year that it would matter for. The XP inning program is packed with rewards to be used in DD, the ball player stuff is cheap because DD players just sell them anyway. I don't really see how it's much of a problem personally. If you don't play DD you don't NEED general XP for anything
-
is is strictly sliders? i didn't adjust any sliders and my progress is frozen. my slugger literally is halfway to some stuff and it's just stopped progressing. seeing a lot of people talk about it on twitter as well.

Are we certain it’s not just an overall glitch in the program?

I’m in the B category. I genuinely don’t care about XP, only for the stubs. And even then I only use it for franchise budgets. Any cards I get I trade on the market for more stubs to get more franchise budget.
Also side note: you’d think after so many years eat add more things to franchise or road to the show to spend your stubs on. -

Yeah probably. It was the "does this seem fair" that threw me off

I lost 16k stubs randomly. I was at 186000 and then it went to 170000. I looked at the market and I didn't buy anything I didn't know of. I have no idea why this happnened.
