Picked the same 42 player on accident.

Hello everyone,
I was grinding the showdown last night and i got to the 42 choice pack and picked the same player is there any way around it? -
Sell it and buy one that you don't have from the marketplace.
-

He's talking about one of the non-sellable team affinity 42 cards.
I don't have a solution for this one, and I've been paranoid about opening those player and uniform packs myself because I'm worried about accidentally selecting the same one twice. Seems like an oversight on the dev's part. It could be as simple as adding an additional dialogue box for "are you sure" if you already have the card you are selecting. I mean, if they do that for something stupid like simulating conquest hexagons, why not do it here where it actually matters?

Ooof, well, yup..... No way to fix that, at least none that i can think of. When opening regular packs, it will show if you already own the card, is this not the case for the team affinity 42 packs?
-
I didnt notice it....
-
Im just worried now.... I'll be one 42 short for Jackie and idk if ill be every able to get it
-
Have you emailed support? They may be able to fix it.
-

I think they have been able to correct similar mistakes in the past, so there is a chance that they might be able to remove the card from your inventory and give you back the choice pack. At the very least I know they have the ability to manipulate your inventory based on the Pirates reward in 19, which was changed to a different card later in the year. People were able to reach out to SDS to have the original card switched to Gerrit Cole.
Just don't be surprised if it takes a while for you to get a response. While it sucks, they have bigger problems at the moment with the server and marketplace issues, and trying to get everything off the ground.

Doesn’t the card have a little number on it if you own it?
