I'm a new gamer playing the Xbox Version (pause and wait for the snarky comments)... which position do you all think is the best for RTTS in terms of overall playability? Also, what are your thoughts on the two way player mode?

Welcome Mr. Xbox! I’ve always enjoyed playing infield positions in RTTS. The mechanics and playability feel more natural to me than the outfield positions. SS, 2B, and 1B see the most fielding opportunities. If you want to hit more and field less (at the expense of fielding gains), 3B is the best option.

I like that the two way player is an option. Personally I have no interest in being a pitcher. My hope is that it can become a choice in future updates.

Enjoy the game! Even with all of its current problems, it is still one of my favorite games out there.

For many years now, the reason I've been a loyal PS customer is because this title was an exclusive title. Now that this title is cross platform, seriously considering going back to Xbox. Especially considering you can't find a PS5 without paying scalper prices these days.

For all those years, I've played 100's of hours on RTTS. It can be, when it's working well, a tremendous amount of fun. The positions I have most enjoyed playing have been SS, 1B and RF. God help you if you get moved to catcher against your will (previous years would do this to you, not sure of 2021).

I like the idea of the 2-way player. Hate how SDS has implemented that. Here's the news flash - very few kids out of high school or college can both pitch and play a different position. Being forced to do both (albeit for a very short period of time) sucks - especially as if going both ways is not what you want, and then you choose, say, to be a SS, you then don't seem to ever get to choose your secondary fielding position. Your secondary remains a SP.

I'm also very skeptical of how the "loadout" system is going to work if you have to switch between one build and the other based on the position you are going to be filling in the next game.
