PSA: Don't Link both PS and XBOX Accounts!

Anyone have any updates or success before I give up for the night? I've seen more threads pop up about the same issue, you'd think SDS would at least put out a notice telling people to not link their accounts until they can get this under control. Submitting a ticket doesn't help, tweeting doesn't, posting here at least there's a shot someone has a success story to share.

I still haven’t had an update on my ticket. I did log into my The Show account and unlinking worked. It prompted me with the choice to select my PSN as my primary (had my legacy sign in info) and when i chose it, it errored out saying exclusivity issues. Now nothing. So... I’m guessing I probably won’t be getting my content back.

Thanks for mentioning that, I just went in and looked and now it shows my The Show account is "connected" and in session with my PSN and XBOX accounts unlinked. The problem is I still don't have anything. So, I wonder should I now try to link my account as instructed? I guess why not, things can't get any worse.

My problem is when I log into either my PSN or XBL credentials, those are still linked. I think that’s the root of the issue. I have no option to unlink those. My guess is they did minimal testing of this feature and we’re the unlucky folks who it’s hurting.

So if you look at the DEV post tracker you can see a response with instructions. I followed those and now I no longer have them attached to my The Show account. But now I have this problem still:

UPDATE (kinda): I installed the PS4 version and logged in. A screen popped up saying do you want to install the server data or local data, I selected local data and BOOM all my stubs and everything are back. Now I'm deleting/reinstalling the PS5 version to see if I get that same screen and hopefully everything will be back. Gonna take another 20 mins or so to completely install, but I'll post back ASAP.

I know work is probably absurd now. But can us folks who lost content (pre-order content, and progress, stubs, etc) get an ETA of when things will be fixed? Or at least, give us an assurance that we will be given our entitlements which we paid for. Honestly, at this point I feel like we should receive some sort of complimentary content due to the massive inconvenience. We paid for this service ultimately.
We don't take what you do for granted, but we'd like to feel valued as members of this community you all have built.

My PSN and Xbox are finally unlinked on my Show account, which I think is a positive sign. If I try to link my PSN on my Show account I still get the "platform exclusivity" error, but at least everything is unlinked now I guess!

I'm cautiously optimistic. Seeing that I have all my data in the PS4 version of the game gives me home that they just need to tie everything in together. Hopefully it gets fixed by tomorrow, I really need to focus on my work, lol.

That’s awesome dude. Kinda jealous, I installed the PS4 version and it’s still blanked. Makes me wonder if I did truly lose everything

That sucks, it worked for me too, installed the PS4 version of the game on my PS5 and everything was there instantly. As long as your stuff appears on your TheShow.com account you should be fine I think (when they fix the linking issues).

That sucks, it worked for me too, installed the PS4 version of the game on my PS5 and everything was there instantly. As long as your stuff appears on your TheShow.com account you should be fine I think (when they fix the linking issues).
Interestingly enough, all my stuff is still missing from the show.com account. The only place it's showing up is within the PS4 version of the game. Makes no sense.

Seriously SDS. JUST AN UDPATE WOULD BE NICE. LET US KNOW YOU SEE THIS GROUP. We preordered your game paid extra and it’s like nothing is being said. So many of us feel like we’ve been scammed. Tomorrow will be a week and nothing has really gone addressed. Victor gave us a mini update, saying you know it’s an issue. But can you reassure us a solution is on the horizon?

"After doing a further research I noticed that MLB the Show already confirm there has been some users experiencing this type of issues; however they are already working on a fix to have this sorted out as soon as possible."
They also declined my request for a refund. Basically every incentive we had for pre-ordering the game has been wasted. Not everyone wants their money back, and if SDS would just respond with an update say "Sorry, we're working on it, we screwed up" then I wouldn't either. You know the service is bad when I'm googling how to start one of those stupid petitions or the costs associated with a class action lawsuit. Seriously, SDS, put us out of our misery already.

Haha, i was googling the same thing earlier. Sad isn’t it? My ticket hasn’t even been responded to yet. I’ve even sent updates. Terrible customer experience. I regret pre-ordering, unsure if this is my last The Show game at this point.

I have the same issue, Wednesday when I linked my accounts I lost all my Stubs, cards, and items from the Jackie Robinson Digital Deluxe Edition.. put in a ticket this morning. I may pursue refund as I paid $99 for something that isn't available to me any longer and the experience will no longer be the same. I even did the "restore license" thing that the support suggests and that did nothing but take away all the stuff I earned lastnight.
What a disgrace this is.

With all due respect your fixing the community market (online/ via theshownation). Yet y’all are neglecting the fact that a whole group of us have had our preorder content erased. And every time we try your troubleshooting steps (such as unlinking, or restoring license) all out content is wiped and progress erased.
Seriously guys. Answer us today. We’ve tried to be patient but this is ridiculous that we aren’t even getting the assurance that all will be restored, even if it’s just a matter of time.
