Challenging others - XBX X & PS5 Crossplay

I have one friend I would like to play The Show 21 against. I have an Xbox Series X and he has a PS5
We both registered on the show.com
We both linked our accounts to the site
We both bought our own versions of the preorder copy
We added each other in the game as friends
I send him a challenge or he sends me a chellenge.....doesn't matter. When either of us accepts it takes us to a screen where we see each other, but just wait around.
Ready up is locked - can't continue.
I can't challenge him to DD, exhibition, etc.
We both have Crossplay on as well.

I am having this same issue with my friend, I am also on the Xbox Series X and he’s on PlayStation and the ready up is locked for some reason?

Same issue here, and can't seem to find an answer anywhere. Worse yet, we both were on and playing against each other in freindly matches of Diamond Dynasty this past Friday night, and Saturday morning. As of Sunday (and still) we both just sit and the game ready page and chat about how we can see each others records, but don't get anywhere..
