Same. I called Best Buy, where I purchased it on Friday. The customer service agent said the code had to be redeemed on the release date. At first I thought she meant Friday, but I think she was saying on the official release date of April 20.
Either way, it's the goofiest thing I've ever heard of. You spend 100 bucks to get it on April 16, you should have access to everything you pay for immediately. -
Same here. I bought from Walmart. Walmart doesn't answer, Support on this site says I have to contact Xbox, Xbox support says to contact this site. It's ridiculous. I am holding out hope it works on the 20th, because right now I am totally frustrated.

Well the rep i spoke to said it was a San Diego Studios Issue, not an XBox issue. Not saying that they didnt tell you that. The bottomline nobody knows whats going on but Ramon and SDS got their $$$$

Preordered via Game Stop. Game Stop said due to COVID, had to be mailed. Got yesterday. Codes say they have expired. Contacted XBOX support, they said to wait until 4am UTC time. Did so, codes still not working. Contacted XBOX support again, now they are telling me 12pm today. Sigh....

I preordered the Jackie Robinson deluxe edition from GameStop to be shipped at my house. I got it last Friday, as expected. I could play the base game but the code that was in the case did not work. I’ve been trying to redeem it once a day but I get the same response saying that I need to contact the retailer. Hopefully it works tonight at 7pm ET

I've gotten the runaround from everybody just blaming each other. Nobody actually knows what's going on but SDS owes us an explanation. Their silence is telling, but if this code does not work by the 21st what should we do then? We need compensation if the codes cannot be redeemed and we deserve an explanation. This is unacceptable.

That's the boat I am in. I am hopeful when I get off work today and give it a try that it works...

Still not working I talked to a xbox tech support and he said they are waiting for sds to activate the code he said in 24 to 48 hours but i am tired of waiting for a answer.

I called Microsoft this morning. The lady said they know about the issue. To try again in 24 hours an call back. I could barely understand her. She also didn’t seem to really know what’s going on.

You have been told 7pm? I was told 12pm. Ugh

I called Microsoft for the third time and was told to wait until 9pm pacific time. So midnight my time like they need to compensate for their screwups. Give us extra stubs/diamonds whatever. Waiting almost 5 days for a $100 purchase is kinda messed up.
