How do you equip equipment to your ballplayer?

In your “My Ballplayer” go to Loadout (Diamond shape with a plus sign in the middle). Click and you’ll see your player with a bunch of circles all around your character. Each circle represents a spot to place equipment. From here you can equip from your inventory. Be warned, as of now certain pieces of equipment will not store (visually) on your character past one game. The effects of disappearing equipment, however, will remain.
