Two fielding display questions

Hi. I have two questions about fielding.
- Why I have some blue blob on the ground (sometimes some blue rectangle wide as nearly whole centerfield) in case of fly balls instead of the ball icon and no indicator where should I stand to throw most powerfull to bases (dont know how is that indicator called
)? - Can I somehow turn off that yellow ball trail while fielding? I was able to turn it off while batting. Can I do the same while fielding? Cant find it anywhere.
