I just Pre-ordered MLB The Show 21 for PS4 I would like to know if by any chance If I purchase The PS5 how can I have the show for PS5 can I be able to use the PS4 version or do I have to purchase the game for PS5

In order to play on PS4 and ps5 you need to buy the collectors edition. I think it’s the one for $99

The PS4 version will work on PS5 and will run better than it did on the PS4, but if you want to play the actual PS5 version as well you need to either get one of the Jackie Robinson editions, or purchase the game again. The Jackie Robinson editions give you both the PS4 and PS5 versions, so that is the most cost efficient path if you plan on upgrading.

This is correct. Remember the PS5 plays PS4 games too. So you would not lose any progress. But like mentioned above, if you want the PS5 improvements you will need to buy a version that has both copies. Or shell out a whole other 69.99 later.
