Pitch speeds in ranked seasons

Pitch speeds in RS are out of control. I realize this is “fantasy” baseball but every pitcher throwing 102 is insanity. It’s SD studios idea of a crutch for terrible pitch mechanics this year. According to MLB.com there’s only been 3 pitchers since 2008 that average over 100 MPH. In mlb the show 20, tons of pitchers are topping out over 100 mph lol. For old dudes like me (43 yes old) 102 mph is nearly impossible to hit.

This is the first year that fastballs are pretty usable (since 2017 anyway), they were disastrous in 18 and pretty meh in 2019. I fully support outlier.

Outlier is finebut it should be exactly as described- an outlier. An outlier is something that happens in some instances but not on every pitch.

It’s funny how outlier on a sinker actually resembles the actual movement of the pitch IRL. But as pitchers lose energy the outlier should take a hit.

I love outlier but they should change the mechanic. Pitchers with it should hit 98-101 consistently and pop up to 102 on occasion. Like maybe it's correlated with their Clutch stat and find the extra velo in big situations. The higher your Clutch rating, the more 102's you can get. And Chapman should be able to hit 105.

Don't get me started pitchers that have a 100 mph fb and a 70 mph change up in their arsenal ridiculous unreal.

I like outlier..makes pitchers who don’t have sinkers more appealing...I do think that if you’re constantly using fastballs that your energy should deplete quicker
