Lead Off Question

I’ve noticed people taking extra leads with just one runner recently. How do you lead off with one base runner, rather than all of them?

I wish they would put back the base running controls from years past. Every time I have first and third, I push to first base with my analog and hit L2, just for them to both steal. Idk why they got rid of L2+O.
