While I constantly parade for Online Franchise to return, it was brought to my attention how broken progression is and how there is no true depth to it.

I played Franchise in MLB20, not 17, and I completely agree. There is no point in bringing back OFM if we don't get a makeover to the prospect, progression, regression system and how one is overly aggressive, the other very passive. Here is my solution.

Adopt the Madden progression system, or majority I should say.

I went into Franchise with the Rockies, unloaded Nolan, Trevor, plus other trade pieces and got 20 A Potential minor leaguers from 18 to 23 years of age. I simmed through 6 seasons of ball, hired the best coaching, payed decent attention to the training.

Almost every SP after hitting an 80-90 OVR still had 60-70s H/9-K/9.

Relievers are decently balanced. Majority of the CPs I recieved got up to 95+ in both. But almost all of them were 2sm, 4sm, slider.

Position players, my only high ranked players were defensive guys with 70s contact, and 50s power. Every single one. Nobody developed power, regardless of training. On other teams a few guys did develop power but I only saw same-handed splits. Guys with 90 Power vs RHP, as a RH, and 70s vs LHP.

One you hit age 30, you start regressing quickly. Most guys, particularly picthers haven't even hit their prime yet.

With that, adopt a user progression system that encourages more depth and changes the face of the game mode. Allow players to earn training points much the same they did in RTTS back in the day.

Allow A Pots to earn points at 2x the rate.
    B at 1.75.
    C at 1.20.
    D at 1.00.
    F at .75.

Further this by allowing pitchers to learn new pitches at the cost of 10,000 points.

Nobody can go up a tier as far as the progression system goes. Once a D tier, always a D tier.

Awards and milestones can also bring more points to a player. Won MVP? Here's 15k. Hit 3000k's? Here's 15k. Won the WS? Here's 1k for your entire roster.

Something like this would imo add overwhelming depth, strategy, and fun to the mode. Balance ir out so the higher your ratings are, the harder it is to upgrade. So a guy with 50 contact, only needs 100 points to go up +1. A guy with 95 would need 5k.

    Make it happen.

I agrees with all of that ^^.They also need to add 2 way players in the draft as like Athletes in Ncaa 14 & you can change their position to pitcher or hitter or both once drafted or make players 2 way players &have players ask to be 2 way or ask not to be 2 way.
