The problem with pitching
-
I know, there’s been a lot of complaints this year, pitching being one of the big ones.
It just came to me in a very simple way just now, as I was getting lit up trying to pitch in Fenway with John Lester.
Good hitters have control over their pci placement. True, the outcome is still random, but even the best players do not have control of the location of their pitches.
No matter the player, the card used, the pitch selected, a good hitter will always have the advantage. Add to that the way too significant influence of pitcher confidence and there you have it. -
Is it just me, or does pitcher confidence seem to influence your fielders as well? Seems everyone starts flubbing grounders once your pitcher confidence gets low.

Yeah, I think that happens sometimes. I’m not sure if it’s pitcher confidence though.
