10-Babe Ruth -
Completely disagree about Mondesi... when I see someone using him in their starting line up in RS, I think they're just giving away outs in the big picture... with only 53 vision and no power against RHP, what does he really bring to the table? Switch hitter... who cares... makes zero difference whether the batter is hitting from the left or right side, you should be timing the pitches the same way no matter the batter. 99 speed... overrated attribute for a regular. At best, I see Mondesi as a pinch runner (I have Henderson for my PR and think his baserunning is superb). If you're bunting to get hits against quality opponents, while it may work out every so often (especially if you catch an opponent who doesn't adjust his defense), you're giving away outs overall, this I can guarantee.

On paper, I'd agree. In practice its completely different. He is the only player on my team still hitting over. 500, and I don't bunt unless I'm behind or tied late game. He is so unbelievably good.
His small PCI and lack of power, and absurd power gives him the ultimate advantage. Against a team that shifts (which is the majority) the outfield sits deep, even vs RHP. He isba literal singles machine vs RHP. His speed and stealing ability puts him on second almost guaranteed.
Then you do have the bunt option. If 2b plays in, there is an even greater gap between him and RF completely opening the right side of the field with his 60s power. Again, bloopers for [censored] days man. Nobody else is even near .500 on my team.
-
That being said, I will take Mondesi over every card in the game.

How many times do you have to mention that mondesi is the best card in the game? He might be if you play on all star, abuse the pick-off glitch and bunt cheese but he’s a bench bat/pinch runner at best.

We are going to list our top 10 hitters and pitchers. Base it on your personal preference, not just a cards attributes and please only use cards you have actually played with.
Top 10 Hitters
No. 1
Aldaberto MondesiYou knew this was coming. 20+ games in, hitting a .484 against righties and a whopping .780 vs LHP. His speed is godlike. The shift against him makes him so much better vs righties, and his ability to bunt and bring the 2b in only makes that gap easier to bloop into.
No. 2
Mickey Mantle5 tools, but bests Trout and Griffen for one sole reason. He is a switch hitter.
No. 3
Ken Griffey JrThe sweetest swing, Ken is the best card to have at the dish when facing RHP. No top spin on this swing.
No. 4
Mike TroutIts Trout dude.
No. 5
Jimmie FoxxThis guy just hits the ball hard no matter what hand he's facing. Slow out of the box, but plays the C position on my squad. Does a good job nailing players like Cobb on the bases, and blocks effectively too. End game C.
No. 6
Larry WalkerI really with Larry could play 1B. He rides my bench, but has that smooth swing that pounds the ball out of the yard. Coming in with diamond defense and a absolute cannon attactched to his arm.
No. 7
Jackie RobinsonMondesi-esc, I replaced Jackie with Aldaberto, but couldn't forget how good he was to me. Speed speed speed, and like Mondesi singles for days with the occasional long dong.
No. 8
Carlos GonzalesThe first card NOT on my end game roster. Defense, decent speed, and arguably a top 5 swing in the game, Cargo carried me early on, and I love his later version just as much.
No. 9
Chipper JonesWhile I haven't used his 99 version, the early Chipper got me through the game much like Cargo. He plays so well for me that I have considered making him another bench bat on my end game squad despite how many other options I have available to me.
No. 10
Trevor StoryYou were probably expecting this, tbh I wasn't. But I'm not talking about his finest card, nope. I firmly believe his Awards card to be the better of the two, he has a great swing, but the added speed and better power numbers vs RHP edge him over his 99 self.
Pitching
No. 1
The Cheesy CAPI don't care what others say. The CP, balanced edition that carries a 4sm, ch, slider is the best card in the game. Especially when you're an [censored] hole like me and give him Adam Cimber's delivery. Riding a 2.12 ERA in 27 innings, 45ks with 19 saves.
No. 2
Goose Gossage12 innings, 19 K's, 0.00 ERA. Legit the best non CAP reliever. Pay the 1m stubs for him, I promise you, you will not regret it.
No. 3
Aroldis ChapmanYou've seen him a million times, but he will still give you trouble. For several years now Chapman has dominated, and that trend continues. 20 IP, 2.30 ERA and close to 40ks as my setup man.
No. 4
Tom SeaverOur first starter. His 4sm, sinker combo is among the deadliest in the game going from 96 to 93 with plenty of movement. 30+ innings and an ERA under 2.50.
No. 5
James PaxtonOur 2nd starter, POTM Paxton is and has been lights out for me. Packing a 99mph 4sm, and a 91 MPH cutter, watch out. 40+ innings, ERA around 2.50.
No 6
Blake SnellEarly on Blake Snell with his funky release carried my squad. The over the top arm angle has given me a solid 1.67 ERA in close to 50 innings. He may come back to the rotation yet.
No. 7
Pat NeshekOur second cheeseballer, Neshek simply relies on a funky delivery with slow movement that often forces early/very early swings. ERA around 3.50, but leads my relievers in GIDP.
No. 8
Eric GagneBoasting 125 H/9, and a decent repertoire, Gagne has lived in my bullpen as a 6-7th inning guy. 0.00 ERA in 12 innings.
No. 9
Rob DibbleThis one i can't really explain. Very basic repertoire, but just absolutely dominates. 14 IP, 0.00 ERA.
No 10
Brendan McKayThrew my first online perfecto with him.

Why? Because of no sinker? The second best pitch in the game is the cutter and his cutter is the best in the game by quite a bit. I don't think he is at the very top but certainly deserving of top 10 IMO
-
My top 10 position players:
- Mantle: all around stud + switch hitter
- Soto: pinch-hitting extraordinaire. Best hitter I’ve ever used in DD
- Griffey Jr: sweet, sweet swing + great fielding
- Foxx: best RH hitter in the game
- Bellinger: hits bombs, plays solid defense
- Perez: good RH swing and defense behind the dish
- Ruth: hits as well as he should
- Walker: was best RF forever, still very usable
- Trout: not as high on Trout as others, but very good
- Mondesi: glitchy swing, OP bench bat/pinch runner
Top 10 pitchers:
- Hershiser: two A+ pitches (SNK, CH)
- deGrom: unhittable on legend and very tough on HOF
- Miller: best LHRP, funky motion
- Bauer: great movement, cutter is amazing
- Dibble: FB/CUT combo is extremely tough
- Gossage: outlier FB, sinker, slurve, change
- Jansen/Rivera: can’t separate, too similar. Amazing pitch mix but can be hittable
- Kershaw: best slider in game
- Gagne: great FB, great offspeed
- Kluber: still effective, second best sinker in game
Cards that are top 10 on paper but not in practice (for me): Tatis, Seager, Machado, Mays, Mize, Chapman, Williams

Players League. I've only used both Kershaw and Buehler once, both are currently in my rotation though, grinding the slog to find my 3 4 and 5 guys.

Hitting
- Babe Ruth - He's the same beast he's always been, .400+ OBP and hits for power. positional flexibility keeps him in the lineup.
- Finest Cody Bellinger - Maybe a tad aggressive as he's seen just over 100 PA, but he has the highest slugging % on the team
- Mike Trout - If you swing early and are on it, it's sailing out of here.
- Vidal Brujan - Absolutely carried my entire team in the middle of the year, including 73 stolen bases in 77 attempts
- PS Corey Seager. Only hitting .244 for me.... which makes his .622 slugging that much more impressive, plus the .381 OBP means he is still getting on base for me.
- Stan Musial - No bias here the dude rakes, and if Babe wasn't such a stud, would be manning 1B on my team.
- Brian Roberts - Flashback to the beginning of MLB 20, first card I prestiged, had a 1.010 OPS, and that's with 66 and 57 power.
- Ty Cobb - He always gets on base, just has one of those swings
- Mickey Mantle, has been in and out of my lineup, has hot and cold streaks, consistently gets on-base, but I don't hit with the power that the stats show he is capable of.
- I can't leave off Cargo either, that swing is delicious
Pitchers.
- 99 Billy Wagner, the stats speak for itself. 150.1 innings, 245 strikeouts, 2.27 ERA, 0.82 WHIP, 33-7 with 21 saves and 26 holds
- Chris Sale, far and away my best starting pitcher, that slider wipes hitters out. 133 innings, 153 strikeouts, 2.17 ERA, 0.78 WHIP
- PS Walker Buehler, the sinker might be the meta, but his cutter more then makes up for the lack of that pitch.
- Prestige Clayton Kershaw - That extra MPH on the fastball makes all the difference
- 97 Aroldis Chapman, not quite on Billy's level, but 167.1 innings, 241 strikeouts, 2.47 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, devastating slider.
- 99 Bob Feller - If you are playing someone who can check swing on every off-speed, you won't have a fun time, but 95% of the time, he's going to absolutely blow by the competition.
7 Tom Seaver - Not as good as 19's version imo, but it does the job and the fastballs seems a lot faster than what he throws.
8. Bob Gibson - This is a card that plays way better then any previous version, has pitched a perfect game for me in ranked, surprisingly deceptive.
9. POTM Paxton. Sinker and cutter, enough said.
10. Kluber is very hittable now, but he deserves a spot in the top 10 for holding down the fort for months on end. -

My top 10 would be pretty boring. My #1? Brian Roberts. Why on earth??? This is my first year in DD, didn't start until May. I put him in my lineup and I could actually hit with him. And, he was my first Prestige. So... yeah.
I witnessed this first hand last night, he killed my entire staff. Roberts should be #1 & #2 on your list.

I could care less if he had a sinker or not only 1 of my starters has a sinker, he doesn't have a changeup, his cutter and fastball are almost the same speed so not really a pitch to keep someone off balance, Bauer's cutter is 84-85 and his fastball sinker is 95-97 that's a huge difference when it comes to a cutter, Devin williams has a cutter at 88 and a fastball at 100 sinker at 97, the thing that makes Buehler easy to hit is you can really just sit one speed and be fine.
-
Hitters
- Prestige Mantle, switch hitter, diamond fielding in CF, 95 speed, can't say much more (he's on my bench though)
- Prestige Griffey
- Prestige Trout
- Prestige Tatis

10. Kluber is very hittable now, but he deserves a spot in the top 10 for holding down the fort for months on end.Just saw you come up on that reddit walkoff clip, that man seriously picked Minute Maid for that game? Smh sry u had to go through that

Hitting
- Babe Ruth - He's the same beast he's always been, .400+ OBP and hits for power. positional flexibility keeps him in the lineup.

Yeah, the Babe walkoff was actually cool, but I was and am still salty about having to play at that horrid stadium.

So you think I should get the 97 instead of the 99 I have right now? (Of Story)
I rock the 99 for the defense only.
