Venting on Pitching

Pitching in this event is garbage. I hope SDS fixies pitching in 2021. pitches on the black not called strikes. Pitches thrown way out of the zone being hit for HR’s way to often. Pitching has not matter since the show 17 every year it gets worst. Why even pitch.

As someone who only occasionally dips into online play, the biggest thing for me is balls getting sucked to the middle of the plate when my pitch shouldn’t be there. And I’m even talking fastballs, not the hanging sliders and such that happen too. A few cutters and four-seamers drifting to the middle tonight and ending up as homers most of the time.

I feel like this sometimes I was getting mercy ruled a lot but I stuck with it you have to get used to event pitching and hitting quick counts are different take your time and really think about your pitch I’ve been shutting people out lately don’t pitch to all the edges it’s easy to move pci to corners and low pitches if you’re pitching low, then make [censored] sure it’s not a hittable pitch. bury it in the dirt don’t be scared to walk someone and don’t be scared to take out a pitcher early innings. I’m at 18 wins for Belli gonna finish my last two games for him today

I do walk a lot of players and get a lot of double plays. I did not have these issues in the last event. I am not great at the game but usually hold my own. It could have been i just ran into players who know how to hit every thing in any location. I did get 3 wins last night but I started 1-10 in that event I think that is my worst start to any event since 17. Usually win 1 of 3 to 4 games but last night was just bad.

There is an insane amount of off-speed pitches that get hung over the middle of the plate. That is even with good pitchers with high confidence for said pitches. You have to aim curveballs/changeups/sliders completely out of the strike zone. They'll either be 5 feet off the plate or hung in the zone and you just pray they whiff. It's impossible to dot the zone with offspeed pitches.

Im not having that much trouble with pitching. I played 14 games last night and went 8-6. I had two games where my opponent was a cyborg from the future and put up 10 runs on me. The other 12 games no one scored more than 5 runs and I shut out my opponent 5 times.

Last night it did not matter. I pitched well with some of the pitchers in the last event and RS. Darvish, Bauer, Walter johnson, RP Devin Willims, pretty much anyone I pitched with got hammered. It is crazy to throw 3 straight pitches on the corner then throw one up and in way out of the zone to get hit for a HR. I mixed my pitches in different location. I will get back at it again tonight and see what happens.

That is good, I think it was just who I got matched up with.

It is with Fast balls not just offspeed. fastballs 5 feet out the zone above the head inside get crushed.

Darvish has fooled me a few times. Use his off speed stuff to death. Bauer is extremely easy to pick up so I avoid him. Walter is good but you cant use his Fastball anywhere above the knee or he will get rocked. I have had the most success with Kopech and Wood so far. Good luck man

I used Wood in this event to, he was ok but still got rocked. Thanks tonight is a new night.

Bauer has been unreal for me. The movement on his pitches have been great. Until of course I play the WS crowd and then I get lit up no matter what I do.

Pitching is completely hot garbage this year. Especially if you're facing a weaker opponent. And they need to get rid of the very early/early hits on low/outside pitches. Not realistic if it happens more than 3 times per game.
