Even on rookie I’ll have games where I can’t score or the game goes to 7 or 8 innings on conquest. Even on all star I’ll lost 1 out of 10 games. Sucks but you can’t and don’t win them all

I just did the September POTM for Jose Ramirez last night in preparation for the new event today. So I loaded my lineup with certain players and played the Pirates, Mariners, and Rangers on ROOKIE and most games it took me a few innings to get hits/runs. Not to mention id throw a great pitch, and it would get cracked for a bomb!! I know how you feel.....

Here's a trick to play the CPU. Pitch fastballs to the hitters with the same handedness up and in until you get to two strikes. Then throw them a slider low and away. VS opposite handedness hitters, pitch fastballs up and away. Then throw change ups inside and below the zone. They'll strike out a ton like this, regardless of the difficulty if you hit your spots. Eventually though, they'll start to foul them off. When they get in the mode where the game will not let you strike them out and they won't chase borderline balls, throw them a completely uncompetitive change up in the dirt. Follow that up with a fastball up and in and they should swing and miss the next pitch most times.

Honestly, this should work as high as legend difficulty in conquest when you're using juiced up pitchers vs LS cards. If you hang a pitch, they may hit it hard, but if you've built up some confidence with the pitcher you'll probably be able to get away with a few. It's not as fun as actually trying to sequence pitches and play the game realistic, but if you just want to play fast and win, it should work.

I think rookie mode is harder than all star against the computer, timing the slow pitches can be a nightmare.

Don't take this the wrong way, but how are you giving up 5 runs to the CPU in a 3-inning conquest game? I've definitely experienced getting screwed over on hits by CPU players with bronze defense diving all over the field and my guys lining out excessively, but I can usually get a quick 1-2-3 no problem when pitching. I've had some games go to extras before I can drive one in, but I think I can count the number of runs I've given up in all of conquest maps I've completed on one hand. Are you using lower level cards or something? Who was pitching?
