Pitches with perfect release don’t magnetize to the dead center of the plate.
I understand missing your spots but when using 99 overall pitchers with 100+ control, it makes no sense. Bronzes and commons, sure, why not.
Fixing this aspect would make the game so much better. There are other issues, but to me this is the biggest.

Greg Maddux never mis-located a pitch. Ever.

I agree. There is an aspect of the game where a pitcher can dominate and almost be Unhittable. Sure homeruns and power have increased In today’s game, but there are also pitchers you shut it down every time out. That needs to be possible in this game as well without pitches going 18 inches elsewhere.

Thank you!!! This drives me nuts. If I setup middle-in on the black and hit my spot the ball shouldn't magically go in the middle of the zone and then of course over the wall......

He definitely did, but the amount of times this happens is far too often. Even if it was a bit more rare, I’d be fine with it. But when you have good confidence and stamina you shouldn’t be throwing primary pitches down the middle multiple times in the same inning.

Is it just me who sometimes sets the pitch middle and then get bad timing on purpose so it doesn’t go down central?
