A few questions about BR
-
So I'm currently 7-0, the furthest I have ever gotten.
A few questions I had were, do you gradually play people around the same record as you? So for my next game trying to get win #8, will I be playing someone also around win #8?
Also is there a best time to play to avoid goons?

Usually the game will match you up with someone who has the same record as you do, yes. If there are no games available within those restrictions, they start widening the margins (the number on the slider goes down the longer it takes). But you could still match up with a guy who is 11-0 even if you let the slider go all the way down before finding a matchup.
In my opinion there always goons playing in BR, because they live all over the world. Obviously the US has the majority of them since that's where the main players base is located, but there are also some really good players in Europe (that's where I'm located) and Asia as well. I would prefer connection quality over anything else though, so if you're from the US and you decide to play at 5 in the morning to stay away from goons, you might get matched up with a goon from Europe or Asia AND a poor connection to go along with it.

Honestly, the way the game plays on All Star this year, getting to 12-0 is more about luck than skill. A ranked season goon can lose to a lesser-skilled opponent just because of how easy it is to hit on All Star.

I understand what you're trying to say, but I don't fully agree with this. Yes, you need to be lucky at some occasion for sure and luck plays a bigger part per game than it does in RS. However you can not get lucky 12 times in a row, that's statistically extremely unlikely. Skill definitely still plays a major part, especially after 9-0 when you mostly match up with players who are also in deep runs and when pressure starts to factor in. Of course you still need to be "lucky" to get rewarded on your good input but like I said, you cant get lucky 12 games in a row.
