Frank Thomas Diamond 99 - not doing well for me
-
Not sure what it is.
He's really not producing for me. It's a ground out or a line out.
Is this a busted card? His attributes are off the charts but he's had 1 hit in 11 ab's for me thus far.

No it's a great card and one of my best bench bats, once you start tuming gis swing he starts hitting rockets,
however i completely understand where your coming from because i have that luck with 99 Ortiz who for others is a monster.

Try getting a little under the ball with the PCI. I've noticed this on several hitters. Basically you need to get under the ball which looks like bad PCI but he crushes it instead of a popup. Thomas is really good though, stick with him.

He's tricky, but I prestiged him and have used him at length with success. You will get pitched inside a lot, you will also have to swing just a notch earlier than usual on fastballs. He doesn't have a fast swing at all. Also anything middle, middle/in and away he will launch. If you go offspeed hunting with him you will hit absolute bombs.

He was a glitch last year because even though he had common defense he was the best defensive first baseman...But they fixed him this year & he can be pretty darn rough in the field.

He has an awkward swing, try and platoon him with a lefty and take advantage of his 125s against LHP. He has a tough time getting around on inside pitches against RHP for me. Babe Ruth, Jim Thome or Finest Freeman are good platoon options, although Ruth and Thome don’t need platooning, I find they’re excellent L v L.

The beauty of this time of year is, if he's not working there are so many other options. Frank is first righty off the bench for me.
