Once it's implemented in real life I'm sure it will be in the game. I think most of us can agree that it's only a matter of time until the NL has the DH, possibly as early as next year. In my opinion though, I don't like it. Obviously nobody enjoys watching a pitcher hit in real life or trying to hit with their pitcher in this game but it adds a whole different strategy to the game that is gone with the DH. I know I'm in the minority but I say no to the DH.

I used to have you’re opinion.....but after seeing it this year, I’m ok with it either way.

In regard to the show though, bring on the DH in DD and bring back pitcher handedness in the matchup screen. It will make sooooooo many more cards use fell again!

I can completely get on board with pitcher handedness in the match up screen. I understand the argument against it, you would pretty much be facing an all lefty or all righty team just about every game depending on who you have pitching. Still though, I think it's a good idea. I would platoon some guys at certain positions but I don't do it now because I don't want to waste someone by taking a guy out in the 1st inning to do it. I think being able to see who is pitching against you in the match up screen is a good idea.

No way. Only if the lineup screen is after the game loads. You gave to use the same 25 man roster and you take the loss of you quit.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly or not but you would still have to use your 25 man roster. You would just know who is pitching beforehand and then could set your lineup accordingly based on who is on your 25 man roster. Just like in real life.

What he’s saying is that if you can see who you can face, some people will automatically back it if they see a righty or lefty since they’ll only be hunting on the handedness they want to face

Ah gotcha, that makes sense then and yes, that would be a problem I agree. It would have to be set up like he mentioned then where if you do that you get the loss.

I’m all for that!! If they back out, give em the L! But I want handedness so I can platoon players. I wanna use cards that don’t get used much. Perfect example is there used to be this Shin Soo Choo card when he was with the Refs and he absolutely raked but was worthless vs lefties.

This would just make me use a reliever as a starter for an inning, than pull the old switcharoo to my opponent in the 2nd and I would have the “handed” advantage going forward...

What I think they should do is. You make a lineup for VS righties and VS lefties and both those lineups have to use the same players(like bench players could start and vice versa tho). You wouldn’t know what hand the pitcher is before you lock into the game as the game would select the lineup for you. Prob would have to get rid of starting bullpen players and starters out of the pen tho.

So its looking like rules in the national league Rumors are soon to be permanent.Do we get the overwhelming thumbs up SDS? or like the Instant Replay Nothing here to see move on...

What do you mean? have you heard something different? All that has been going around is no DH for 2021. Unless there is something brand new I havent heard.

I like the DH, gives people a reason to start someone like Jim Thome or maybe even Paul Molitor.

I am more in SDS following the new rules and implementing a 26-man roster than having universal DH. It’s hard to carry a backup catcher with only 5 bros on the bench.

I’m also down with introducing a stamina system for position players. Guys like Gehrig and ripken and dale Murphy should have some sort of boost for being carved out of granite. The durability stat means nothing (maybe it is important in franchise, but who cares), and that’s kind of disappointing.

It’s already been said that the MLB is going back to the traditional format & pitchers will hit next year.

I’m ok with that too as I’ve learned to hit left/left vice versa over the last couple years. Well enough that I’m not afraid of it anymore.
