    Hello Everyone!!

I'm in my first year playing MLB The Show and I LOVE this game! Thank you to the community for helping new players in this forum, much appreciated!

This being my first year playing, I'm obviously not that good. I love grinding off-line but I also enjoy playing ranked seasons and the events.

    So here's my issue/suggestion....

The opponent matching, as far as I can tell, matches opponents by what your rank is. But so many opponents quit by the 3rd inning, I'm not gaining much experience or at-bats to try and get better in my online play. So by the time I reach the 600 rank, I'm matched with opponents that are WAY better than I am regardless of our ranking being close together.

What if the matching including your rank, but it also factored in your team batting average, win/loss record, and maybe your overall team rating?? I think the more variables that can be included in the matching algorithm might create better competition and better game play.

I anxious to hear your thoughts! Does this idea make any sense to you? What would you do to make the opponent matching better, or do you think it's great as is??

    Thanks again!

The problem with that idea is, it will be harder to find a match and people would complain about match making taking too long. Some people I play just quit before the game starts because they think I am God of some sort sitting at prestige level 100, when in reality I am not very good at hitting at all. But I do like the idea of making a better match making algorithm, just not sure how they would do it without it taking forever to math up opponents.
