I am 100% reaction too. Unless the person I;m playing is constantly throwing a certain pitch

I was reading a separate post and was wondering how everyone else hits. I hit through about 80% watching tendencies and guessing the next pitch and about 20% reaction. Generally I have an option A that I’m guessing/sitting on and option B that I think is the next most likely pitch. The end result is usually I look absolutely stupid 3-10 times per game but can also pop off for a massive inning if I start to read you. I’m something like 155-103 in online play so it works fairly well.
Am I the only one who hits like this or do other people do it too?
I pretty much do the same. Sometimes I'll try and think "what would I pitch in this situation", and surprisingly most people follow the same pattern / obvious choice.
I'm sure you do this, but hit R2 or L2 to see where they piched to you last at bat. Most ppl follow the same strategy.

I always struggle when I start being swing happy. I use the Cbrev approach when 3 batters swing away, 3 take 1 strike and 3 take 2 strikes. When I use this approach I usually win. But when the good good line out fest starts I stray away
That’s very interesting. So how would you recommend that approach with my line up? I hit above .300 with just about all of them but would be cool to try something new too!
Cobb
Prestige Mantle
Prestige Trout
Ruth
Prestige Chipper
Prestige POM Tatis
POM JRam
Posada
SPCobb, posada and SP 2 strikes. Mantle, chipper and tatis 1 strike . Ruth, trout and J ram swing away. But you can always change it up,
Awesome! Gonna give it a shot today. Appreciate it!
I was struggling and went back and watched cbrev’s tips video. Helped me immensely. Some guys can just attack and hit everything, I’m a work the count hitter

Generally this is my personal, and preferred approach:
Sit down after a long day of work, open up a cold one, load into the game.
Feverishly await the unveiling of my opponents lineup, excited to see who I'll be hitting against.
Watch strike one, fastball down the middle. As the second pitch windup starts, my wife calls, so I look away and don't see the hung change up down the middle. Only slightly frustrated, my attention is back on the game. As the third pitch heads my way, my cat appears like a ninja and starts batting my nose with his paw.
Repeat for 9 innings. Sometimes I get lucky and still win.

Lmao sounds familiar. Problem for me is even without those distractions I can’t hit a fastball to save my life

I'm also 100% reaction. Like a lot of people I try and be as patient as possible, often times taking until strike 2 especially the first time through my lineup. As the game goes on and I notice my opponent throwing first pitch meatballs assuming ill be taking I get more aggressive earlier in the count but its still pretty much all reaction with me.
