When i offer a friendly quit when the e game starts, instead of accepting or denying, some people just sit and wait so you waste your timer, or because they are annoyed by the request. Usually people who do this are the same types of people who will take the extra lead no matter what, steal with every base runner, and various other chicanery. A good way for karma to come back and bite them (we all know about the friendly quit karma)
It gets old and its happened so many times that I let it run now. I accepted them early in the year because I genuinely believed that person may have had something that came up and I didn't want them to have to take a loss because maybe there kid needed them or the old #2 couldn't wait now I enjoy the drama of will they play or will they not play. Also I hate players who use shady tactics to gain advantage and if someone trys to steal everytime throw them out a couple times and they will stop.

If they don't make a decision within 5-10 seconds, then why wouldn't you cancel your request instead of allowing your own timer to run down?
If they really wanted to accept, they would've right away or send you a request right after you cancel yours, otherwise it's game on.

But it happens almost every game. You get sick of it. But if it makes you feel better when my opponent pauses as soon as the game starts I just start spamming circle. So i dont even see it. And I dont even play that much this year and they still do it.

Maybe just play the game? The noobs that will quit based on "team build" stopped playing a long time ago. No one will accept a friendly, we want to play.

I'm not gonna lie I sometimes do this as well. And then once my opponent realizes I'm not accepting the FQ, we just play the game and I don't pull out "any other dirty trick". It gets old to get offered a FQ every single game in that 800+ region once people see your record and banner. Sometimes I'm just tired of it and let their timer run down and let them find out the hard(er) way I'm not going to take the FQ. I think it's pretty harmless, you get plenty of pause time back later in the game.
Edit: and I ALWAYS do this whenever some clown offers it while I'm up. At that point you deserve to look stupid while staring at your screen.

Good point. I never "make a decision" if they do that. Let them back out and quit in shame. That is about the cheesiest play you can make.

As stated above, people that sit on the decision generally show me what kind of player they will be during the game.

Honestly I think everyone explained pretty well what they do in certain circumstances. And TBH they all seem reasonable. If you are offended by any it is all a "you thing" man.

I feel you were venting on something you probably shouldnt have been venting about. So I cannot totally beat you up for it. I know the frustrations, and certain things frustrate some of us more than others. But, especially this time of year, I dont think you can get away with FQ lol. Guys are tired of that. it literally happens to some ALL the time.
