Runners not sliding and continuing to run while stealing
-
Cost me two outs in pivotal moments and a chance to advance to championship series. Thanks a lot the show
Between this, dumb AI, and sticky controls among other issues, baserunning has been by far The worst aspect of online play this year at least for me and I hope it’s fixed for next year -
I think I might be able to diagnose that problem because I was doing the same thing. If you push L1 (to lead off) after the pitch, he runs through the bases (and doesn’t slide). Once I figured this out, it hasn’t happened again. You can practice it in a friendly game and hopefully that’ll resolve your issue.

Thanks. That may be the issue. Still dumb (IMO) that this would prevent someone from scoring when I’m pressing the right analog stick as hard as I can to make my runner slide. You’d think there would be some sort of button canceling option (other than throw canceling, which is a whole ‘nother bag of apples)

Most of it is latency related, best thing to do is send the baserunners manually and don't use L1 to advance to the runners at all.

I couldn’t agree more. I was thinking the same.

This has happened to me multiple times, but hear me out on what happened in a game I played the other day....
Trying to get Biggio on late in the game, I attempted to bunt, tried for the gap yet it went down the line. Biggio ran RIGHT through the 1B with the ball and wasn’t called out. Well I felt horrible cause he was clearly out. So I was gonna steal with no lead so he could have the easy out. Up comes the catcher and Biggio does the thing where he’s rounding 2nd, throw is offline. Game slows him down on the catch and Biggio is safe at 3B. I felt terrible.

I have had this happen multiple times and seen it happen to my opponent.....
