The question needs to be asked why SDS is not allowing the update of sold cards for him? This is going on almost a week.
I saw this with Pujols but that lasted less than 24 hours. Something fishy is going on.

Agreed. What could it be?
Are they skipping over people? -

I try not to jump on the conspiracy bandwagon, but I also agree there is something fishy. Wonder if getting them to content creators is a priority and don’t want to show they are just giving them to accounts or something? Who knows

There’s alot of BS going on with this card. I was like 12th in line with my order up at 54:14 and I still haven’t got him

I got mine Friday and I’m not a content creator. Well, I stream for like 2 friends when they’re around and make the odd video to link here, usually to validate a complaint. If that does count as creating content, it’s merely a technicality.

I mean, what content creator has debuted him? I haven't seen any of the big ones do it, so that kinda shows that's not the case.

I mean, to be fair, they would have to give them to regular people as well, or it would be obvious. I don’t think that’s what is actually going on, it’s just something that might explain the lack of transparency

The issue is a legit problem. It wouldn’t be if this game was truly a no money spent game. But it’s not. People do spend real money. So it’s a business transaction. The fact that this card and prices on other cards get manipulated by SDS instead of true open market makes you wonder...
It’s a big reason to be no money spent so this is all pretend.

Has SDS made a comment about it. I guess I didn’t even think about the fact real money is involved here. What’s the going rate for 1,000,000 stubs? Because if you put your order in and don’t get it, but people after your order do there is some legal fuzzy grounds I would say, but I’m no lawyer
-
Current going rate for 1000000 stubs is a bit over $650 🤪

Real easy way for SDS to get $650 out of somebody if they never have to fulfill the order because there is no evidence that any have sold

Refusing to fulfill orders to stub buyers is somehow going to INCREASE the number of stub buyers?
Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

They have an order up for 1000000 stubs that will be there for a few months, but they want to buy some more players in the meantime, how do you think they are going to do it?

SDS is clearly trading Chipper cards for child [censored] slaves because the pizza shop was becoming too inconvenient.
Really, though. Can your people stop with the conspiracy garbage? So gd gullible.

There has to be some sketchy reason that we can't see it.
The only reason we think it is sketchy is because they haven't told us anything about it.
If they told us something, it would be fine! -

If they told us something, it would be fine! This. Transparency is key in a business, which is what this is. If the buyer doesn’t have all of the information, they should naturally be skeptical of what the seller is doing with their product. That’s how you avoid getting taken advantage of in a capitalist economy

Belief in conspiracy theories is the polar opposite of skepticism.

My dad teaches communication in college, and just said that he teaches his students that. You have to have good communication, which SDS had, but not lately.

Naaaah. Nobody’s buying 1m stubs for $650 just to wait in line for Chipper. If anything, it would have the opposite effect. I’ve spoken about this before. Last years content model was more geared towards driving micro transactions, in my opinion, they gave you three bosses in each inning who were generally very good (think 6th inning, Alomar, Verlander, Henderson, for one). As you could only earn one, if you wanted the other two, you’d have to buy them. If you were on the fence or only liked two of them, they offered you the 75 program star voucher and 30000 stubs as a further incentive to collect all three.
Now, as a stub buying player, which is more tempting? To buy 150000 stubs (on sale, at 50% maybe?) to get a 99 overall card like Rickey Henderson instantly, or to drop $650 to wait around for weeks and still not get to use your card? Or if you can’t make WS, don’t have a lot of time to flip cards and you wanted a card like SS Chris Sale today? He’s going to cost you $450 this year. For a card you can only use once every three or four games. I don’t think this years content model is suited to driving micro transactions, certainly not as well as last year. Last year the higher end content was very accessible to players of all levels, be that via spending real money or spending time playing. This year, not so much.
