Agreed. I don't understand why people can't just wait for the ball to land and then quit.

When I get beaten badly I play until end of inning so I get credit for it

Well the ball landed in my game, Trout just didnt crossed home plate.

Not the point. Whether it was before the ball landed or before he crossed home plate he should have waited until the play was fully done then quit.
