I've actually strongly considered going the opener route. Seems to make a ton of sense in order to assess the opponent and their lineup. Hate it when I put a LHP on the mound only to see a lineup full of righties so the opener would seemingly mitigate that.

I use an opener often. Has only bitten me once I believe. By the end of two innings or so I know exactly what my opponent struggles with. Give it a shot!

Sale has been my best by far. At 85 percent I would start him and try to go five. Then all hands on deck. Basically it’s game 7 of the ws.
