What would you pay for Mvp Trout on the market?
-
I could get him for about 1 million stubs rn. The reason for this is because I haven't done the team affinity grind outside of a few teams. So with buying the 7 other collections I need, it would put the cost right about at 1 million stubs. I have every other card that i want, but this late in the game, would it be smarter to wait for the 9th inning hoping for Mays or griffey?
-
If he were a BR reward and scarce, I’d definitely pay 1M for him. He’s great for me

Wait for the 9th inning. No single player is worth that much when you can buy 10 others at 100k who are superstar 99's. Unless you have no need for the likes of Griffey Jr, Chipper Jones, etc. Trout is good, no doubt about it, but not so good that he is worth everything you own.

Plenty on here sold their soul to get Trout and will refuse to admit it was a mistake, which I understand. I am not immune from such decisions either.

Elaborate... i actually made stubs after completing Trout so it’s not the case for me but seems like the general population likes that card

If you played the game you could have obtained many of the necessary cards to complete the Trout collection. Yeah he cost me around 400K but he is worth it. He is quite the stud.
-
Well, probably not. I've got him in the lineup to prestige him but prestige Walker is pretty beasty. Trout's got speed but not great steal numbers, and if Mantle is in Center you don't really need Trout's speed in Right. Walker has a better arm and is a lefty bat with a great swing.
Now, I can make a much stronger argument for Tatis, which is very close to an infield version of Trout. That kind of pop, speed, defense, and versatility is rare. He's great at Short but also very very good at 3rd and 2B. He has good speed and is a bigger base stealing threat than Trout.
-
In all honesty i had 8 of the sets completed when he came out, all i really had to do was finish the TA's, get a few prime players and get the Top's now players. And all he's done for me since i got him is hit 20 HRS while batting 380. I'd say he was worth it.
-
Trout has been worth every penny spent so far. I'm about halfway to prestige, so far he's batting .322/.349/.753, for a 1.102 OPS split about evenly between all-star and HOF. You'll strike out a good bit (76k's in 269 PA's for me) with the low vision, but when he makes connect it usually goes far. Diamond defense and 90 speed too, that says it all. His prestige version is probably the best card in the game.
-
Anything, he's been better then Mantle.

Plenty of us just made wise decisions and got trout easily.
-
See? Their opinion is get him early. Play 24/7. It's easy! But your question was should you spend 1 million stubs. Definite no on ANY player imo. Unless of course you have millions to spend like some of these guys.
-
I think I'll wait till this run it back pack is out and see how it effects the market. If I can get the price down to 700k-800k I'll go for it.

Pretty easy to understand isn't it? You do not think there are players who spent millions to finish the collection? It is easy to spend that much on the collections if you have the stubs. What you did is irrelevant to what I said.
-
Bro you have Donaldson and Alomar who are 700-800k stubs right now. So yea you bet your sweet [censored] I’ll pay a mil for MVP Trout

I have found Sheffield my only good hitter out of those big 3 collections guys. I suck with mantle. Trout is just insane. There are so many cards this year that I couldnt hit with in years past that rake this year and vice versa.
-
If there is a righty on the bump, I’m taking him deep everytime with Trout. Would buy him for a mill easy

That's funny Shef is the only one i didn't hit well with. His swing was almost too quick for me in a small sample size

I made over 400k on Trouts release day and unlocked him 5 minutes after he dropped. I actually locked in more vouchers than I needed on accident but free xp.

That’s pretty cool and kind of sad all at the same time
