Ultimate Collection

With the continued addition of free cards, and all likeliness there will be an abundance of post season cards this year with the expanded playoffs.... I feel like we definitely need another big collection program
this years collection was way easier and quicker to obtain than last year, even if it just packs and xp I would love to see another collection for this years game.
There are still plenty of 99 rated cards we could see and maybe a collection that had multiple cards would be a nice addition.

I’ve always thought that would happen. That’s why I’ve kept buying up low priced cards of the various sets.
-
There will not be another collection. Only 4 collections have even gotten a new card since Trout came out. Prime, Sig, Awards, and Future stars. Also Trout was easier because we all prepared for it. Starting from scratch its roughly the same cost as Honus was

There don’t have to be new cards for a lot of them. For example all star only required 20 cards for trout but there are 38 of them out. The other ones like veteran and rookie also only required 20 but have 30+ available. Future stars required 30 and there are now 50+. Signature required 8 and there are now 40+. Awards required 25 and there are now 50+. Same with prime.
There is plenty of room to add 5-10 new cards to the old ones and increase the others ones like signature, awards, and prime to 25 or so.

Then explain why the tweet announcing trout said “rarest card in the game”. I really don’t think they would word it like that if they had any chance of adding a bigger collection

I think honus was the rarest card one. I thought trout’s was something different. I’m not psychic, I’m just guessing here and I’m saying there’s room to do it if they want to. Many people commented about how much easier trout was to get this year than honus was last year, so it wouldn’t be a total shock to me to see it. Besides Gehrig will be the rarest card. The amount of people that finished the extreme program versus the ones that have trout won’t even be close.

Yeah, Honus wasn’t even the rarest card last year either. I would bet money on sig Gossage. Anyway it did say rarest card on Trout as well. And as I’ve said, the reason Trout was “easier” was because we all prepared better. Trout and Honus cost at release about the same if you started from scratch

They'll be a collection of Postseason cards to get the WS MVP.
They'll be a collection of Finest cards to get whoever the ultimate 99 Finest is (Freeman/Mookie/Machado)That's about it.
I'd LOVE for them to add a 'Collect All Bosses', but the fact I want it so bad means it's most likely not happening.

Everything you are saying sounds logical, but if I’m SDS and I want to extract every dime I can from my players (which we all know they do) that would be a great way to do it. You’d definitely have people buying stubs to get the players they’ve been ignoring for months now because they didn’t think they’d need them.

I could see you having to have all the Griffeys in the game to unlock Ken Griffey's Jedi card...
