This. Over stuff that a lot of us will have no problems with. And others will complain about stuff that others will find easy. It will be a "Whoa is me" type of weekend for sure. You will even have some mad at SDS for making them do these moments for whatever cards that will be available. The whole, "I been waiting all year for insert player name, and you make him impossible for me to get!" Lol. Cannot wait.
IT'S HAAAAAAAAAAAARD. Why would they call it Extreme AND make it hard?
It’s not about being hard (I got last years done by noon the next day), it’s about the awful programming for gameplay. Watching 50 fielding defenders consistently playing like Mays in the OF or having perfect perfect flyballs with 100 power guys die at the warning track is what cheeses people off, not the inherent difficulty.
Lol says it's not difficulty & then goes on to describe difficulty of hitting P/P out...derp
Are you actually trying to argue that a perfect perfect flyball (ie perfect user input) with a power hitter shouldn’t be a home run? That someone should have to have perfect user input multiple times to beat a moment because RNG is how things should be made hard?
Let me ask you this, how would you spike difficulty in a Sport game for a mode named extreme? Honest question, tell me how you believe it should be done.
Um, moments on HoF (instead of the usual veteran/AS), more involved moments (ie the Jansen and Kershaw moments from last years extreme), etc. increasing rng is simply stupid. If user input isn’t going to matter, the. They might as well just make us roll dice for these.
So...against a higher difficulty, you get mad that fielders make better plays? That in itself represents higher difficulty.
As for perfect/perfect, no, it shouldn't be an auto home run every single time. I thought perfect/perfect was a stupid idea from the start, and I've been proven right 1000 times over.
Nope, I get mad when garbage defenders make those plays consistently. There is nothing stopping SDS from actually putting good defenders on the field, it just making it so a 50 fielding defender is now Mays is dumb and lazy.
Ok, well, I don't believe you. I'd bet money that it happened to you once or twice and you're extrapolating that out because you need an excuse. Then...I'd have more money.

And apparently your definition of hard is a random number generator that minimizes user input, just so were are on the same page.

They said that guaranteed homerun thing before the game even came out. Its on you for still believing that is true 6 months later. Even then, a Perfect/perfect flyout legit only happens in parks with deep centerfield walls. If you had guys pulling the ball perfect perfect and it being lazy flyballs then I see an issue. But perfectly squaring up a ball and hitting a 400 foot flyout at Minute maid isn’t something to complain about

No you weren’t. You were specifically crying because the game doesn’t bend to your will. The. You cried about it being due to random number generators, then you cried about it being consistent. What it boils down to is this: you’re mad because Major League Baseball players make good defensive plays and every ball you hit doesn’t go out of the park. That’s your argument. So...am I a troll? Or are you crying? (Hint: it’s the latter).

We’re fighting for our right to live, to exist, and win these extreme challenges. Today the 18th of September will no longer be known as just another day, but the day when all MLB TS players said in one voice, “We will not go quietly into the night. We will not vanish without a fight. We’re going to live on. We’re going to survive and were going to beat these extreme challenges as today we celebrate our Victory".

I think that point is not what he is making. The point is, in showdowns for sure, not sure about moments as much, no matter the fielder rating they ALWAYS make the diving play, or perfect throw. It is just programmed that way. Where as vs CPU or conquest it is not. It would just be nice honestly if there was some RNG for the cpu fielders in showdowns and more in moments. Because there is only one outcome right now. And that is them making the play. CPU has to have some RNG because there is no other way for them to operate.

I find this argument perplexing... there is a lot more going on in a swing, even in a video game, then lining it up in crosshairs and pressing your button with good timing. Something has to compensate for those other factors (swing pitch, barrel angles, etc), so even "perfect" user input leaves a lot out of the equation that ultimately determine exit velocity and trajectory. Call it RNG, or whatever you want; it's there, by necessity, or you have something other than baseball.
To say that user input plays a minor role when the community stats show perfect/perfect inputs result in an .850 average is hyperbole, at best.
Personally, I'd like to see the FPS targeting play less or a role in a baseball game, but that doesn't make me a proponent of turning this game into a Strat-O-Matic product.
