    In a video game?

So if im losing by a ton and they have speedster in their line up; you think a majority of this community wouldnt try to steal bases?

Or if they're up by 5 runs and they work a 3-0 count; they'll actually lay off the next pitch?

Probably not. Most of this community would run up the score so they could get their stats/ prestige points, etc.

Does nobody here get the alternating caps concept? I'm on the side of the bunter here.

    Ahhhh

Here’s the thing about Tatis... if you don’t want someone to hit a scud, don’t pitch someone into a 3-0 count, especially with the bases loaded.... or did something else happen that I missed?

The thing you missed was the tradition of respect. With that lead it’s always been a sign of respect to not swing at that pitch and not to show up your opponent. Because guess what, no one likes being shown up. And in the past Tatis would have to pay for it because guys look out for eachother. You disrespect me or my teammate, your gonna get hurt. Imagine tatis doing that to Nolan Ryan, they would be prepping a body bag for tatis‘s next ab vs Ryan. Now with how much the rules have changed, there is a big suspension for throwing at someone and the middle infielder can’t get taken out during a double play. The game policed itself, but now the rules don’t allow players to keep eachother in check.

The problem now is people are for the bat flip, ok that’s great let the boys be boys. But it doesn’t go both ways, a guy can hit 40 hrs flip his bat every time but strike out 100+ times. Go ahead flip your bat each hr but let the pitcher flip his glove or do something everytime they strike them out. Hitters cry like babies all the time when a pitcher shows them up, but it’s ok for them to do it when they hit a hr. Imagine how many problems there would be if a pitcher showed up the hitter everytime they struck someone out? It’s the typical it’s ok if I do it but not ok for you to do it to me mentality

I agree hitters have been babies but I think both bat flipping and pitchers reacting to a big K should be allowed. Players just need to not be dicks and go pimping a hr that barely cleared the wall, save it for no doubters. Pitchers, don't go getting crazy after a K in the first inning but if you strike out a guy in a big situation then hell yah show some emotion. A lot more players these days are coming from leagues where some flash is allowed, the MLB needs to evolve with the players.

lmao... only down 3-0 and he tries to get on base. Whats wrong with that? Obviously he couldnt hit Seaver, so he has to try something different to get on base to keep his chances to win alive.

There is no unwritten rules in video games and really other than maybe one like you don't throw at peoples heads, there shouldn't be in real life either

Only bunting I do is against the shift if the opponent is doing the same thing...my motto has always been “I’ll be toxic if you are.”

I get this but how boring? Its a video game so why not just swing away? I do unless ball is no where near plate. I would bunt only if I had a daily mission to sac.

That's you though, I'm not saying that I would either but if they bunt, they bunt.

It could be worst. I had a perfect game going in the 9th and the guy quit. I just play to win now. I got upset about it, and I then learned my lesson. People want you to be upset, don't accommodate them.
