I posted a few weeks ago that I was going to try and get to 900 stars for the 7th inning program. In the meantime, I think I've burned myself out. With COVID this summer, I've played way too much, and the last week I've just been getting more and more frustrated, especially with RS. I think I'm going to take a week off and clear my head. I love this game, but... for right now... I need a break.
Have any of you gotten to that point?
Same. I’m going to switch over to the new NBA2K. Haven’t played since 2K16
Don’t play Myteam bro. It’s their “DD”.
Just play the franchise mode or whatever they call it. You’ll thank me later. MyTeam is a never ending money sink. Even if you’re good at the game.
It’s not like this game, you can’t really earn enough in game to field a great team. They force yo to buy they crappy packs with bad odds.
I won’t give 2k a dime of my money.
Oh I know. I’ve never even thought of touching MyTeam what so ever. I’ve heard the absolute horror story’s of 2K Myteam. Lol! I love the show but I’ve been getting bored waiting for TA 4 to drop! It’s just a couple of buddies of mine used to play 2K online on the PS3, in 2K 12,13, and 14. So it’s sort of like getting the band back together. I’m just planing on playing My Career,
And the “In the neighborhood” -

I’ve decided to say screw this game. My last 2 games I’ve had 35 total good good outs. I’m tired of good timing and pci placement meaning nothing. I mean good good with babe on a change barely makes the warning track off a righty, but 94 chipper good good on a change off a righty 400 feet.

Started a second account as I enjoy doing conquest and getting the packs. Ended up having great luck, so now I play with that one. That's made the entire experience fresh for me. But, I love this game, so I'm not having to decide between this, Madden, etc.
How do you create a second account?

Usually in events I go like 50-10 or 100-20. Basically win with those percentages. I’ve went 12-0 a bunch this year too in the events.
With that being said, last night I got no hit two event games in a row. Shut the game off immediately.
A break is needed for us all.
Side note: does hitting feel harder the last few days. I was scoring anywhere from 5-15 runs a game consistently and it feels like lately I’m back to a lot of 1 and 2 run games. And it’s been both ways. My opponents aren’t hitting as well either.
Maybe I’m just slumping with the bat a bit, but I can hit decent. So I’m not sure.
Feel the same man. Feels like the timing windows are slightly off? idk, can't call it lol
But yes OP, breaks are absolutely needed for your mentals

Not to hijack the purpose of this thread (I’ve already responded that breaks are good), but I also was wondering about hitting. I played some RS last night and absolutely had trouble timing things up. I was way late on sinkers from Kluber and even Maddux. Had no shot against Treinen. And then that made me way early on the Kluber slurve, Maddux change, etc. I have a monitor and don’t usually have such a hard time with heat, but I had no chance last night. It was like I was playing on an old tv. I didn’t know if my reactions just weren’t there or if there was something with the timing windows or what.

I'll switch to Red Dead Redemption for a while if I get frustrated. Beautiful game like that is great for cooling off.

Yeah I took about a month break a little bit ago and it was much needed. I downloaded NBA 2k20 for free on PS4 and did no money spent and had a blast. When 2k stopped with content I went back and I enjoyed the game more than ever. If you feel like you have to take a break I would recommend it

Yeah, I took a break this past weekend...binge watched jack Ryan. I started late so u spent a lot of hours on mlb 20 in July and Aug. Way way too much to say aloud....and yes it is a grind. There is so many modes and things you could do that it is impossible to advance before something else comes out. Plus it becomes repetitive. Let's face it, the missions are basically the same but with a different player each time...instead of get 3 xbh with x player it becomes with Y and so on. Tops Now is basically an easier version of the players that come out each inning.
Just doing the dailies can takes me 30 mins to an hour and I don't do the online side of it. So when you want to sit back and just have a fun experience and getting screwed over with the needing 3 hits to advance in the challenge you start to question is it really worth it in the end?
I think they could cut back on amount of content required to do things and easy up on the difficulty and keep people interested longer and feeling less burned out without it touching the profits side of the game at all.
I would love to start a season or a RTTS but I don't have the time. I figure I'll still be playing this game in 3 years trying to complete things. Lol
