Anyone ever have to take a break?
-
I posted a few weeks ago that I was going to try and get to 900 stars for the 7th inning program. In the meantime, I think I've burned myself out. With COVID this summer, I've played way too much, and the last week I've just been getting more and more frustrated, especially with RS. I think I'm going to take a week off and clear my head. I love this game, but... for right now... I need a break.
Have any of you gotten to that point?

I have been on a break myself. Waiting for the next inning to see if I jump back in.

Absolutely.

I think you can get to that point in any game. I played Madden UT last year and played it to death and didnt even pre-order the new one. Same thing with COD. Played that for so long throughout the years im just burnt on it. Great game but could easily get 20-30 kills a game. Taking a break is always a good thing man. Try another game for a bit

Same. I’m going to switch over to the new NBA2K. Haven’t played since 2K16

100% guilty of saying I’m done with the game which usually means I’m taking a short break.
But they do help. Definitely take them if the game is feeling stale to you or if you’re frustrated/slumping
-
Started my break on Monday picked up PGA and Avengers.
With having 850k in stubs I likely just play to get to 300 stars pick a boss buy the other 2 and call it for this program and pick back up for the 9th inning
-
Started a second account as I enjoy doing conquest and getting the packs. Ended up having great luck, so now I play with that one. That's made the entire experience fresh for me. But, I love this game, so I'm not having to decide between this, Madden, etc.
-
Couple days on the game. Couple days off. Get on open a couple packs hop off. Yea I take breaks often. Till about July i only played mlb basically. Now its more of a chore. Lol but i enjoy it in moderation.
-
you have to give it a break every once in a while.

Have any of you gotten to that point?
Yup. Raced through 300 this inning, sold Harper for like 225k, and then grinded Babe Ruth. Took about 8 days off after that
-
I’ll usually reach 300 stars with a week or so left before the new inning starts and I’ll give the show a break for a few days. I never really get better from taking a break it’s just nice to get away from the show every now and then
-
Been a week or so of just working the market and doing a showdown here or there to farm some xp/packs. Nothing online or even vs the cpu really.
It’s been a nice break from the grind though and now I’m actually pretty stoked for this inning and POTM, TA4, etc. -
You need a break. Or this game will put u in a mental institution.
-
Usually in events I go like 50-10 or 100-20. Basically win with those percentages. I’ve went 12-0 a bunch this year too in the events.
With that being said, last night I got no hit two event games in a row. Shut the game off immediately.
A break is needed for us all.
Side note: does hitting feel harder the last few days. I was scoring anywhere from 5-15 runs a game consistently and it feels like lately I’m back to a lot of 1 and 2 run games. And it’s been both ways. My opponents aren’t hitting as well either.
Maybe I’m just slumping with the bat a bit, but I can hit decent. So I’m not sure.

Don’t play Myteam bro. It’s their “DD”.
Just play the franchise mode or whatever they call it. You’ll thank me later. MyTeam is a never ending money sink. Even if you’re good at the game.
It’s not like this game, you can’t really earn enough in game to field a great team. They force yo to buy they crappy packs with bad odds.
I won’t give 2k a dime of my money.

I've been taking a long week off since about early June. Lol. I don't know why, but I just have no desire or urge to play the game this year other than the occasional completing of programs to stay somewhat up to date for if I'd want to make a comeback. But I've been playing a lot of different games, and to be honest I feel better and less burned out since I stopped playing The Show relentlessly.

Yup. Didn't even log in for three days awhile back. My console was so shocked it called 911 thinking I'd been kidnapped.

I play everyday. But if I have a couple bad games or can tell I’m getting pissed off I will walk Away for the day.. I don’t keep feeding the rage
