Furthermore, if you hover over DD at the Menu it literally says Create, Customize, and compete ONLINE. The game mode is structured for online users and if you play that mode majority of your time should be spent ONLINE.
You've changed your main point here. Earlier, you said there was just as much to do in DD offline as online, now you're saying that it's not for me anyway. Which is it?
Meanwhile, I'm saying that there's no good reason for it to be restricted to online only.
Let me give you a different perspective: What If a user who spends 95% of their time playing ONLINE went and played Franchise/RTTS and started complaining that there is not enough ONLINE aspects in this mode and said they need to give us more in this mode, its not rewarding at all. Would that make sense? No.
My perspective is that I'm interesting in engaging in DD because of its unique way of building and progressing a team and that in past versions I was able to enjoy many of the offline-capable objectives there were. That got taken away, and I'm expressing that I want to be invited as well.
Now is there a situation similar to that in RTTS? No, there isn't.
Is there a similar situation where there was an Online Franchise Mode that got taken away and people have been expressing a desire to have back? I'm guessing you know the answer to that.
My Main point still stands, there is just as much to do. Period. You can't argue it. Sure it may not reward you how you would like but it is an ONLINE mode after all, so if you play it offline only you should expect to not be rewarded. The fact that you think fielding a team of all LF and playing against the CPU for 700 hits is fun and rewarding is where we completely disagree and will never see eye to eye on. Conversation is over. Grinding endless hours Offline for cards that are to be utilized ONLINE is a ridiculous way of structuring an ONLINE mode. Glad to see it gone and I hope 20 brings more of the same.
O and you want to build and progress a team....go play franchise with the White sox or Miami.
Even the "Play vs CPU," "Conquest," etc. is "online." Offline is just shorthand for "not vs other people."

- Probably
- I have a love hate relationship with them. It took me a bit to wrap my head around not doing every one. After I conceded that I wasn't going to even attempt the multi-game ones or anything in the Extreme section I enjoyed them much more. They essentially became free program stars.

I'm impartial to moments!! Basically because they screwed you alot!! By that I mean, the CPU whole team became gold glove players if you needed hits. If pitching stats were needed they would foul off 8-10 pitches.
If moments return I'm fine with it but I'd also like some stat based missions (nothing like 18 though). Maybe like the first tier player's you had to accumulate to get in 18!! -
Regarding the DD online/offline argument, I'm willing to bet that the whole concept of DD as a separate entity will be torn down in coming iterations of the game - possibly even starting with 21 - and everything will be integrated to bring the two separate markets (DD and non-DD) back together to be as one. I started writing a reflection on this four weeks ago but have been too busy to finish it.
From a business and development perspective, there are so many reasons it makes sense to do this and even more reasons to start it with 21.
March to October v1.0 was the beginning of this. For example, gameplay seemed to have more in common with what people say of DD mode gameplay than Franchise and Season(RIP) gameplay. Let's hope that's corrected in 20. This year, you will earn Team Affinity points (or whatever it's called, I don't play DD modes) by playing M2O.
Custom Leagues (both DD and non-DD teams option) is the next sign - heck, even the menu option is outside of the DD submenu.

You already earned team affinity points by completing a mto. I didn't care for mto, so I earned my points by using players from that team, and completing all exchanges.

I don’t think many people did MtO for team affinity’s at all really, since it was a complete waste of time if you didn’t win the WS lmao.

No you don't. You only got points by winning the WS (even though in the initial streams they said objectives would be different depending on what team you were playing with), you didn't get credit for the team innings played.

What do you think completing it means. I shouldn't have to tell you completing it means winning the ws, as the conditions are quite clear under a team's affinity tab.
So yes, if you won the ws you earned points; up to 60 points if you won it on legend. -

Which is exactly why I didn't do it. Didn't help either that none of the stats counted, and that I was being forced to play with scrubs.

I like moments I just wish they played better. Some of the Ruth moments for example. The ball hits very weird off the bat and fouls off oddly. I’ve noticed that in a lot of moments.
And when you have a moment like extreme come back and win a 6 run deficit and you just make me line out over and over it gets annoying and mundane. It’s showing of the broken-ness of the game in a lot of ways as far as hitting mechanics.
